I had a Hobart 140 and a Lincoln 140 that laid much hotter beads than that maybe it's user error. I know your shilling for Arc captain but comparing inverter Machine vs Transformer ? Not a good comparison at all I've used a Miller 141 that machine is a great welder. Shilling for China seems pretty common these day I'd rather give my money to an American company also my miller's keep their value. that arc captain is a decent machine for the price and for beginner but once you get serious about welding it's best to buy quality tools that hold value and show your a professional 👍🏻

That’s a Lincoln 140 mig pac on max output (20 amp circuit) with 1/4 plate. You were probably welding thinner material with yours that’s why it seemed hotter. The Hobart/miller and Lincoln 140 machines are designed in the USA then manufacturing is outsourced to china. Until you tried both machines side by side like I have you can’t talk shit.

Miller's are made in Appleton Wisconsin fool, also hobart's are made in USA some in other countries the lower quality cheaper units, these are things you can find on Google before you type away and spread false information could have just Googled it and saved yourself the embarrassment of being wrong, Lincoln's are made in Mexico of course they have parts from other countries that's just common sense and you still didn't compare an inverter with an inverter you compared cheap hobbyist Lincoln welder versus your shill China machine once you get a little bit more money buy a Miller and then compare that inverter Miller versus your Shill China inverter machine then we'll see which is the better machine also making a video about 240 vs 120 machines really? obviously you got that machine for free and you took 5 minutes to come up with a lame video to shill for china. try a little harder next time young man.

Miller's are made in Appleton Wisconsin hobart's are made in USA mostly some models may be made overseas Lincoln's made in Mexico a quick Google search you can find all this very easily now you look like a fool you deleted my last post so I'm having to do it again don't be a coward your Shilling for China it's okay just say it don't hide from it comparing 240-volt versus 120-volt makes no sense waste of time video that you took no energy to make for a free welder buy better tools and you'll look like a professional

I came here to say essentially the same thing. I dont consider myself a Professional, like this gentleman, but I have a Hobart 140, and I routinely single pass 1/4", with welds that look much better than than his.

I Have a esab rebel multiprocess mahcine as my main machine as well as my first stick welder and a craftsman wire feed welder my uncle gave me similar to the Lincoln you have both 110 volts. The little stick welder does fine only rated at 80 amps and does it's jobs but the craftsman really has a hard time doing mig welding it's cold and no matter how hot i turn it it's still too cold, the only better results I gotten is running flux core out of it since flux burns a bit hotter than mig but I would use that welder for metal 3/16 or thinner along with the stick welder. The rebel is a 220 dual voltage and is my main welder used for thicker material like trailers and heavy structural steel. just saying the less power ones are for lighter duti4es while the powerful ones will be used for heavy duties.

Nice! I’ve heard those esab machines are great. The only thing is the 220 volt machines are the same physical size as the 110v machine. Plus the 220v one does everything including the light duty work. No point of having two machines if one can do everything and is already a small size. My mig 140 hasn’t been used other than for this video since I got the arc captain.

@@JTwelder. I know I have them since they still work plus I can put less hours on my esab depending on the job I also live with my family still and need space in the garage so they all ride with me on my vehicle other than that no issues hope you enjoy your arc caption.

For the "non-electrical types", it's actually (in the USA) 120 volts AC or 240 volts AC in modern (after the 1960's) appliances.

Don't think many people are arguing against 220v welders. Some of us just live in rentals and don't want to pay $6000 to upgrade our electric service to handle another breaker.

Go back and watch the whole video. I clearly say the 220v welder is dual voltage and can run on 120v until you eventually have the option of 220v.

Haha that be a pretty crazy machine to have! You’d need 3 phase power though so probably couldn’t ever run one at home

pawn shop... 50 year old 110 volt stick box, that hardly holds over the 1/16 6011 rod.

I don't agree a 120v can save you specially because not everyone has 220v in their houses...is not the machine is the user 😂

The 220v welder also runs on 120v. That why I said it makes the 120v ones pointless unless you have an extremely small budget.

Depends on what its intended purpose is, i have a cheap 110v arc welder in the van because it doesn't take up any space and most barns i work at only have 110v power and i rarely use it. I also have multiple 220v machines in the shop but they wont fit in the work van 😅@JTwelder.

There’s no 220 volt machine that’s bigger than the arc captain!? Oh sorry they’re expensive you said and only offer a bit more power. You’ll need 3 phase if you want a real welder that isn’t 220. Right right right… It’s the last welder you’ll need to buy. Man quit the welding business and sell used cars. I hope you send your crack dealer a nice Christmas card every year. Good lord.
