@@contessa.adella Welding is a very ego driven skill for a lot of people. This sucks because it creates extremely closed minded individuals in the community. So when someone who already knows welding terms and functions comes across a video like this they think it’s stupid because the answer is obvious to them. They completely forgot that there other people who will find the video informative and learn from it because they won’t understand the same concept from reading a chart or manual.

@JTwelder.6 күн бұрын
@CaptainShotgun007 start a apprenticeship and once you have 10000 hours of experience in welding try out being a supervisor and see if it’s right for you. Honestly though usually supervisors have a extremely demanding schedule that leaves them very little time for their personal life. If you’re just a welder it’s much easier to take time off and look into investment opportunities like real estate and stocks. I’ve seen many welders make over $150k a year then take time off to buy and fix up an income property and before you know it they have over 10 properties and a great stock portfolio making it possible for them to retire really early. That would have been a lot more difficult if they were loyal to a company as a supervisor.

@@EricCampbellUAV maybe for the type of work you were doing that was the best option. As I mentioned on long term projects like structural builds and plant shutdowns being able to tow a trailer in and park it on site for an extended amount of time is really nice. That’s because for that type of work it’s the best option. I weld mostly in equipment yards and on nickel mine sites. Having a trailer would be extremely inconvenient.
