Like you, I've been playing TCGs for quite some time (since 1993 in my case). I've delved into roughly half a dozen of them at a highly competitive level, and I've played I'm sure a few dozen others on a casual basis. I've been mostly playing MHA and Grand Archive recently, and I really wasn't looking for Alpha Clash. I'm really impressed with it though. The game has a lot going for it: the mechanics are solid - the game doesn't trip over itself with fiddly rules, although it still offers a lot of interaction. There's a significant amount of diversity in the gameplay in the first set already, with interesting decisions both strategically and tactically. Like you, I think the resource system is a big plus, and it often makes for some crunchy decisions. The graphic design is great, the art is sharp, and the foils/chase cards look amazing. The contenders give it a slight MHA/Universus feel to me, which I really enjoy, but the game eliminates what bugs me most about MHA - too much variance (card games inherently have some degree of variance, but MHA tacks on another layer with its check system, and in doing so, it can sometimes feel not just swingy but too random). I think they have something really remarkable going on with this game, and I look forward to taking a deep dive into it. I picked up the starter bundle from TC the other Day. Just waiting on shipping. I watched the TC gameplay videos and I was pretty sold, it looks like a lot of fun.

Great content man! I would add the 4th standard mana/ resource type being when you have a separate mana/resource deck you draw from or you just auto get a mana/resource per turn (Sorcery, Legion, Force of Will, Hearthstone, etc)

Which is cheaper to play? Flesh and Blood or Alpha Clash? I'm interested in trying another TCG. I'm already playing Pokemon TCG and One Piece TCG. Thank you

Alpha Clash is 100% cheaper at the moment but you just have to make sure you have a scene to make it worth to buy the cards! The Clash kits are a great way to start with your locals.
