Found them on Aliexpress of all locations, no one had them here in the states. I bought like 5 pair, they were super cheap and I love them!

@@rasmussaaristo5200 Bad news..I checked using my Aliexpress account page, like I clicked on the item to "reorder" but the link is bad. I then contacted the seller and he said they discontinued them... they are awesome gloves, sad to see them go. At least for warm weather. They're not super protecting, though they do have a light leather palm. Compared to my Fox and Alpine Stars, I can "feel" the bike way more with these.

Top Speed ??

depends on the sprocket set. I've got two 510s, one I keep a 14/42 setup and the white one in the video, a 15/43 setup. Both are big bores now so they have tons of torque and either setup works. I like the 15 for long drives on highways but for most rides, its too tall. the 14/42, I have to put on the steering damper to get her top speed. right now she's starts shaking around 95-100mph but I've got plenty of room left on the tach. I'll be putting on the damper shortly, just blacking out the triple trees, bar clamp and some other parts before the install. The 15/43 on the white bike I had up to 115mph and the wind was so brutal, I didn't go any faster. I think the tach was at 8500 maybe and they rev out around 10500 to 11000. I plan on testing top speeds very soon once both are fitted with dampers so I'm safe lol. I did do some low gear speed/acceleration tests. To keep it simple, I kept both bikes in 2nd gear and starting at 25 mph, I nail the throttle to see how fast they rev out. Both will rev out in about 2.3 to 2.35 seconds. The 15 tooth taller setup shows 11200 on the tach and a speed of about 62mph before she revs out. Its hard to say for sure, the gopro is recording 60 frames a second so I can see the odo fine. problem is the bike revs out so fast the odo isn't able to register the top speed, its like lagging. I know cause when it revs out, the bike starts to slow but the speed showing in the vid actually jumps up at least one more level before it drops.

Help me out, Im from the UK and I've got an A2 license, which means I cant ride a bike with a power output of over 35kw, the dealers offer to restrict the 701 down to 35kw power output. I feel like the bike would be a bit heavy n slow compared to something like a wr450 or a FE501s, Do you think it's worth having a 701 that cant put out its full power? Cheers

In my opinion, I feel you will be better off with anything smaller. I'm an accomplished rider having logged hundreds of thousands of miles on 2 wheels and I'm 100% sure the learning curve is best developed by starting light and moving up as you "out grow" and master the smaller rides. That being said, a WR will produce over 50 hp at the wheel, at the least the ones here in the states and I'm thinking even the fe501s will reach that number as well. But I am thinking of "modded" bikes. Maybe stock, off the floor bikes with all the emission control components still in place, the hp will be down and within the allowed limits of an A2 license? If so, go with the fe501s. It offers the "6th" gear, can be ordered full sumo and is better suited for the street over the WR. If you were flat track racing, I'd say the WR. In fact the fe501s is on my "list" of bikes to add or at least try, I love the lighter weight and its something I can control more compared to the raw power and weight of the 701. Moving forward, its always best to "master" or at least feel like you're mostly controlling your bike and this can only start with something small. The UK has a "tiered" licensing system that many don't like but in general, the goal of what its intended to do makes sense. Lastly, if you haven't yet seen my smr510 video, check it out. I've got two of these in my stable and they're super light, tons of fun and my "go to" choice for short rides. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqjCmZ5sgaqrhs0
