Your commentary is on point. I have a friend in the nonprofit industry, and I think the first two points you made about not having a plan and unrealistic expectations is the reason that they are burned out. I can see the writings on the wall in their proposed failures

I absolutely love this video. I created my CACS BUSINESS PLAN about a year ago in one of my business classes and realized that this was something I want to spend my life doing. My plans have expanded significantly from there. I have already worked in a chairwoman position for our local VFW in their Carousel of Hope program, have extensive experience working with fundraiser events through major amusement companies, and have a wonderful board of directors planned. This video helped reassure me that I am ready for my next step. My husband and I have been volunteering for MARS for several years and are currently caring for 19 rescues in our home. This has been a financial struggle at times, but we have made sure they were provided for before we even ate ourselves. By starting a Non Profit , No Kill , small animal sanctuary, we will not only be able to continue caring for the 19 rescues we are currently caring for , but also be able to help even more animals than our current financial situation will allow at this time through fundraising and donations. We want to not only open the program, but to also contributing a portion of the funds directly into making the program grow so that we can help more animals in more areas similar to what the ASPCA and humane society programs are currently doing. The major difference is these programs primarily focus on dogs. Our program will focus on cats , other small domesticated animals and even the occasional injured wild animal in need of a safe place to recover from it's injuries. We already have several animal lovers ready to help us care for the animals as the program grows and an entire crew of animal lovers ready and able to help raise funds as needed for the program. This will include both volunteers, and paid employees. I have already spoken with Purina customer care and established direct contact with their distribution agents in regards to ordering large amounts of their various pet products for delivery directly to the program as well as spoken to managers with the local Pet Smart about fund raising through their company as well.

As always Greg great video !!! However, when I was in the U.S. Navy they use to say "Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance" or the 5 P's, they drilled that into my head until I made (E7) Chief Petty Officer. I did hit the like button my friend keep up the great work.
