Hey Luis!! Thank you!! You might see snakes, but they’re native to PR and most of them are relatively small. As for gators and caymans, that has been a problem for a while. Every so often you see news of authorities capturing one, but they’re often in the same areas. Luckily, generally not at rivers people frequent for swimming.

Hi Cathy! Thank you so much for commenting! You would just need to reserve on the website recreation.gov for the Juan Diego Trail waterfall since it is located inside El Yunque's main visitor area. @BriksTravelGuides Жыл бұрын
Hey! Yes you can! Las paylas is outside of the recreational area managed by the forest service so you won’t have to reserve beforehand to visit it. However, you’ll likely need to pay to park in front of a locals house or even inside their house. Hope that helps! 😄🙌🏼🇵🇷

Thanks so much for this video! So informative and helpful! Should I visit Puente Roto first, and then Angelito's trail? (also, where does Juan Diego's creek fall between these two places?)
@BriksTravelGuides3 жыл бұрын
Hi Melissa! Thank you for the support! Yes, you could visit both. Puente Roto is extremely easy to get to so if you want to move to Angelito's Trail you'll be able to do it really quickly. Juan Diego is located within the main visitor area of el Yunque. To visit it you'll need to get a ticket on their website. It's about 19 minutes away from Puente Roto whereas Puente Roto is only about 2 minutes away from Angelito's Trail. Hope that helps!

That's amazing! I hope you'll be able to visit many great places during your visit! Try visiting the Cavernas del Rio Camuy which reopened recently. I made a video of everything you should expect from your visit. To book a tour with them, you can try to call the numbers in the description, but honestly they're short staffed so your best bet if that doesn't work is to just shop up to the park and hope they give you a tour. Not ideal, but worth it if you have the time.

Good video. We’re going the first week of Jan 2022. Are the trails and waterfalls in el yunque open? On the west side is survivor beach hike worth it? Thanks for sharing
@BriksTravelGuides2 жыл бұрын
Hey! There are some trails that are open and some that are closed. Your best bet for up to date info on the trails is the US Forest Service - El Yunque Facebook page or their website. The Juan Diego Trail that I talk about on this video is open, and the other spots are outside of the main visitor area so they are likely open as well. I’ve never been to Survivor Beach, but I’ve been told it is beautiful! However, you need to check if the tide is high because if it is, you might not be able to do the complete hike.

@BriksTravelGuides3 жыл бұрын
Hi Erika! Thank you so much for your comment and support! It really does depend. In general it always rains a bit since Las Tinajas is close to El Yunque which is a rainforest. If I were you I'd download a satellite weather app like MyRadar to check the weather on the days before and on the day you plan to go to Las Tinajas. Pools, ponds, and waterfalls for people with mobility issues
@BriksTravelGuidesАй бұрын
I would say Puente Roto near El Yunque. It’s right next to the road. These bodies of water generally are not adapted for people with mobility issues just because that would mean developing infrastructure that would alter nature, unfortunately.

My uncle used to be called to locate people who use to get lost en el Yunque.
@BriksTravelGuides3 жыл бұрын
Oh wow! Yeah, a lot of people get lost in El Yunque, specifically if they venture to the Naguabo side of El Yunque which doesn't have rangers monitoring the access. A lot of people get lost or injured when visiting the Infinity Pool de Naguabo, which is a challenging 3 hour hike just one way, and most people don't go adequately prepared for that.

You think it’s be okay to go to all these during December?
@BriksTravelGuides3 жыл бұрын
Hey Neo!! Yes! December should be a great time to visit. Just make sure it doesn’t rain on the day you’re planning to go. Hope you have fun! 😄🇵🇷

July 2021 we are looking for Sea Turtles. If there is a pretty good place to see them I'd love to know about it!
@BriksTravelGuides3 жыл бұрын
Hey Kelly! If you want to stay close to San Juan and see sea turtles you should go to the Escambron Beach. There are several turtles that swim around that area. If you’re looking to go further, check out Peña Blanca Beach in Aguadilla. There is amazing snorkeling there!

@@BriksTravelGuides AWESOME! We were already planning on Peña Blanca, just because I heard it has a beautiful opportunity for snorkeling!
