They should have just done an actual plus one instead of the playoff. Keep the conference tie-in bowl games and then have the BCS poll come out after the bowl games and put 1 v 2 in the championship game. Bowl games would still have meaning and, conceivably, more conferences would have a chance at a title.

There is 1000% no way that a Super League ever exists unless it is the SEC & B1G leaving the NCAA. They are not going to share more money with teams outside of their conferences & they’re not going to give up all the power they have. Why would the B1G & SEC ever agree to any of this? Answer: They won’t.

You play with the rules that you were dealt… That’s like going back in the Super Bowl , this rule exist today so we want to change the result of the Super Bowl when the rule didn’t exist and could have changed the outcome of the game … That’s preposterous… well, I think the player should have to pay for their scholarships. The SEC was just dominate at the right time. 10 years earlier the Pac could’ve pulled the B12s 5 biggest schools and done the same thing. 18 years before that The big 8 could have grabbed more than what they did. A lot of the SECs dominance can just be attributed to one school ALABAMA being dominant for long enough that it raised to quality of the whole conference. They got lucky. It’s almost like different conferences have historically been more dominant at different times but the SEC just lucked into being that conference when every form of entertainment Is consolidating itself to make the most money possible. And who in the BIG has won anything but OSU and MICH in the last 30 years. Even those two take turns kinda being mid every couple years while the other is good.
