as far as I can see, I didn't notice any significant difference between men and women. Am I write or I am just missing some details as a newbie?

Pretty much being able to move more stones after the initial bounce, or being able to clear more stones. That does change a lot of strategy between men vs. women, but there's no guarantee that a women's team is weaker than a men's team (Japan has more men's vs. women's games).

That’s understandable. But there’s a lot to learn along with physical and mental skills that need to be developed. But yeah it’s hard to learn, but really fun when you give it a chance.

Why is curling gender split? I can understand it with your more physically demanding sports, but is there really any noteable skill gap between the guys and the girls teams?

Mens and womens curling are very different games, and yes there is a notable skill difference when playing eachother. However curling is unique (along with tennis) in that the womens game, even though quite different is nearly as popular as the mens (not quite, but much more so than other sports)

There is also high demand for mixed curling as there is now many mixed tournaments and mixed doubles in the olympics
