Monsieur Scarlet is the best character design imo. He very casually knocks Levi to the side before adopting a very vicious look. His parasol is also a weapon! And most importantly, he is cute.

Gotta agree with this a ton! I just love the writing of so many of these sidequests and a ton are either funny or heartwarming. It really is crazy how much great content this game has, in addition to the main story. I definitely find myself leaning to liking the ones that have cool unique mini-bosses as parts of them as among my favorites, like you! Leif's request could pretty much be it's own miniature chapter. I love it SO much. It's pretty much an automatic #1.

Explorer Check is also great for justifying Gen and Eri as explorers, since at all other point throughout the game they're really just pushovers Agreed with the lore book as reward not being too satisfying part, perhaps some berries would have been nice I think Maki's help in the Confidential actually made things harder as a twist, all the other leafbugs gets 1 charge after Maki's attack, essentially making them hit 3 points harder

Like Shady said in the other comment I also really think that Vi´s request is amazing. BUT I would say my second favorite (of course Leif´s story is the best one) is the card minigame quest. I really love the card minigame and its awards are amazing also!

I actually really enjoyed the card mini-game sidequest as well! One of my favorite things in games is when you talk to someone you thought was a random useless NPC and then it turns out you discovered something.

Nice video! I pretty much agree with it, although I might of put VI's request in there. But yeah hands down Leif's request is the best part of the game in my opinion.

I'd put Vi's request at second and Leif's at first, as both of them serve as conclusion to their respective party member's character arc and are definitely some of the strongest emotional moments in the game.

Honestly my favorite part about liefs request is the fact that it’s a side quest it could have easily been part/most of a chapter but the fact it’s optional means only people that want to know liefs backstory will find out and the game does a good job at making you want to know with the mysteries each chapter spoon feeds and the fact the game encourages you to explore the lab by just seeing the door open at the last second before meeting lief or making a connection to the two also all the foreshadowing you notice on a second playthrough and when you get there all the tough enemies makes it where someone could easily just leave and wait till there stronger but at the same time some people just got to find out and would be willingly to push through the challenge to find out and get rewarded with not only the answer but makes chapter 5 a lot easier so yeah leifs request is more then a side quest its being an optional mini chapter that’s only for the people that care enough to want it

Thank you for making this video. I just finished this game's main story today after finnally defeating the Evil King; and I also did some side quests that I hadn't done. When I reached the Evil King, I had expected it to be the last part of the game for me; but fortunately the Evil King was too powerful for me and I had previously played the game with more of a brute force strategy. I was "forced" to do many side quests that I had not thought about doing; and am very glad to have done so. Each one was special in their own way and not too long, it was a great experience and challenge in some of them; I had to use a guide for some so I may have ruined the experience in some ways, but I have spent around 48 hours in this game's world and I am glad to have done so. I am very thankful for the creators, and I thank you for making this video to give tell of your experiences and thoughts on some of the side quests!

Personally I Sometimes like story over gameplay and if i were the change one thing about this list, that would be replacing confidential with Rebecca's sidequest. The criteria for getting that quest is a nice detail, the mothflys were surprisingly tough, and the uh... Reasoning behind Rebecca posting the quest. Also it stands to be one of the few moments the game where I felt really pissed that i wasn't crying yet, the other one being Leif's sidequest.

I would have put the quest where you lead and protect this old ant to the forsaken lands so that she can say goodbye to Elizant 1 in her old village. Was really sad.

Lief’s request feels more like a chapter than chapter 4 (not that chapter 4 is bad) Edit: Also for Confidential, frost bowling completely neuters it, so use it if you are having troubles.

Vi is pronounced "Vie" not "Vee". It is short for Violet
