Hey:) You won't regret it! With the Clockwork quest, just make sure you have a bit of time because once you start it you kinda can't stop until you get to the other side - it's also soooo spooky!:)

Great choices all Feb. I'm not much on castles for castles sake either but these are all lovely. Clockwork was a hard choice for me to leave out of my load order but at the end of the day I knew I would never live there.The greenhouse is just perfect as is that graveyard of Raven's. So much talent in Skyrim. I do hope we have plenty of room in TES6 for such places ~ when I'm 64.

The first house mod I made was a two room cabin in the wilds of Falkreath, not a hundred room castle. Walk before you run, as the saying goes.

I used to wonder why Bethesda's vanilla homes were so boring. Why not hire someone like Elianora (who has since published some Creation Club homes) to produce better player homes? Then I noticed that there are 4,000 player homes on Nexus (for LE). Some people want tiny homes with everything within reach, others want themed homes to match their characters, and others want enormous fantasy castles with a hundred rooms that you need a teleporter to travel around. Since whatever they did wouldn't please everyone, they just put out a quick, generic home.

@@edgarrice That actually makes sense, but I also think they underestimated the players love of pampering our toons and were therefore a bit lazy about this aspect of the game - something which EQ2 has picked up on and adapted to give their players massive choice and ability to create their own like no other game out there. Hopefully Bethesda will address this in the next episode!

@@FebrithDarkstar With a the help of the modding community FO4's system has become pretty darn user friendly and it's Bethesda's. I for one don't care to delve into Creation Kit to customize, I want to play the game. If I can customize in game I'm happy. The more assets and hence options I have the happier I am. This is one of the most important aspects of a game such as this in my assessment, customization. Another aspect that is only added by the modding community and contributes to the longevity of Skyrim in particular is diversity. Without those 4,000 player homes I could a) build my perfect place in the perfect local using CK or b) customize one of those vanilla lots. With Elianora, Lierin, JK, SlimeSire and so many others doing what they love to do I get what I want. Diversity. I get to customize the diversity in my game with the unique works of art created by people far more talented than myself and just... explore them. I get to critique them. I get to try them out and maybe discard them. I get to customize them and I get to enjoy them. Do you have picture's on the wall? Do you have running water in your home? Ed's game is as different to Feb's game as it is to The Great an Powerful Bionicle Jackson's and they all love the game they have. The one mod I think would trump all others is the one that allowed me to just drink mead by a fire with Ed in his game or help Feb water a s**t ton of flowers in hers. I have no concept of what a "fairy Tale" kind of build or playthrough or mod list even looks like. I have low lying morning fog and gallows at city entrances, Vampires that can kill you before you have time to turn around. I'd bet there'd be a lot of flowers though and I'd bet it'd be pretty. Alas there is no such mod so we just watch YT video play-throughs because FO'76 was a busted cash grab... They could have just asked my opinion, I got one around here someplace =D

Alright, Shadowstar > Dragonfall. Fight me! (Please don't. I'm old and break easily =P). I kid. They're both great, and I definitely respect your decisions here. I can most definitely agree with Clockwork. What a fantastic experience that mod was, and will be again and again! The castle is dreamy! I know you don't do the adopting street urchins thing, but I really like that there are only 2 to each bedroom instead of 6 crammed into one like most mods do it, due to space or whatever other factors are involved. I think you've convinced me to give Sjel Blad a try on my next toon =).

I play this on the PS4 and as you all know, God does not allow external assets to be use in his PS4 Realm, so I can only look at these monstrous structures and salivate.....Yeah....I think you just convinced me to go on Steam and pick up a PC Special Edition.....On a side note, could you do a top 10 list of your favourite BIG collector homes? Castles, Keep, Palaces, and Mansions included, I don't mind, I don't discriminate.... 😜

Ever used a castle in a full run? i have never managed, just ends up as a bunch of rooms i can't separate from each other and struggling to even make a potion, do some cooking, or store some uniques/weapons/armor because i can't find the right rooms to begin with. Plus decorated cells take longer to load, rather have 2 or 3 instead of 14. Big fan of just watching you present these tho, almost makes me wanna give it another try thinkin i mighta been too hasty, but....nah lol.

Well in my last playthrough i did actually live out of Clockwork for a while - filled up some of the amazing weapon displays etc. That one is definitely my favourite because it's not too gigantic - I guess I just prefer a smaller home - but I'm a sucker for fabulous decoration no matter what size it is:)

.....I think you should have done top 5 mega castles( really big ones) wouldn't be much a problem, there are not too many of those on the nexus for sse, Sjel blad and raven, there was another which name I forget, though you could add armery manor to it) top 4 large castles ( IE shadow star castle, dragon fall castle) Top 5 medium Castles top 5 small castles top 5 castles with the word Keep in its name. Though I think most mod authors just put the word Keep in the name because it sounds cool. A keep is where you keep a military garrison an only becomes a castle when a Noble( knight, duke, king) is in residence Strangely Nevah's Rest is named Nevah's Keep on the Nexus. It's no keep though, it is a residence...

I don't think so - if you have any of Skyrimlazz's castle mods you can normally just turn off the NPCs altogether though.
