God, I love this mod author's works. Even tho I'm still waiting for a proper castle on the mountain in the middle of Whiterun tundra... Damn, why nobody thinks about that location? I think it would be the perfect place for the ultimate Dragonborn home: right in the middle of Skyrim, with the most gorgeous view, isolated but still close to everything, maybe with even a small village at the base of the mountain... Oh, how much would I LOVE that.

Castle in WR tundra? Have you seen Dragons Keep by ToppDog? www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/271 Two player homes onsite, a school to which you may send up to twelve kids of your choosing, a balcony pool, training/trading mod, tons of everything and loads to explore! Want something even bigger? Try Dovahkiins Warehouse and Bedroom SSE... www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2125 It's flipping gigantic! I really loved the main living quarters. But, ultimately it was just far too expansive for my humble taste in homes. I got lost at least 6 times just attempting to navigate the property. But, it is a huge home and much more in the plains of WR. Enjoy and adventure on friend, Phat

Ain't tundra. Trees grow there, crops grow there, no permafrost underneath - ain't tundra. Might be some tundra near the tops of mountains, above the treeline, but not in the lowlands of Skyrim and definitely NOT where there are volcanic hotsprings. Developers seem think they can use a word that sounds neat and make up a new definition that has nothing to do with the real definition, duping gamers into sounding uneducated.

Feb! I just ran into this mod watching other skyrim videos, and I instantly wondered if you saw this - and lo and behold, you did! I'm a one house kinda guy in my game so I actually was torn between this one and Elysium Estate and ended up going for this one. My main reason being I like having a fort that feels like a safewall from the harshness of Skyrim, so now I need to find a mod that has home invasions or something so I can live the dream of protecting my home and treasure!

Those pool rooms really make the place, as do the tapestries and pillows. I agree with Robert Vicek , who said the kids' area needed more personalization. They look like a nice barracks, not a place where your kids can live out their dovahbaby dreams. I wish the courtyard had some flowers and more ornament to it, too. I briefly considering trading Mirele Bismuth for this, but Mirele Bismuth has such a beautiful location that I could never. Would never trade my tower bedroom, either. ;)

The undone bed, the cushions in the floor, the ivy in the walls, the rolled rugs.... looks like an abandoned keep appropriate by someone with good taste. Also has a lot of custom/ported stuff but everthing fits in Skyrim. And the size is perfect! Not so small and no way exagerated as Dragonfall Castle or Riverwood Keep. Hi, Feb! I plan a new playthrough as a Breton (female) and were looking for a House/Chalet/Castle, that fits, at least a little, to their typical Architecture and "LifeStyle" ;) I guess i found ONE! "My Lady" shall be one of the last members of an old Breton Noble-Lineage who has lost everything through Treason and Vile. She is not snobby, very "down-to-earth" a "Fighter" and has learned to appreciate the Little things in Life. Still, she knows about good and solid quality ;) This small Fortress/Castle, has it all! *thanks for the help ;)

Of note, if you don't adopt or use this house for your family if you DO adopt, you can also change the children's room into a room for 6 more followers. I love that he does that with most of his mods. I am a big time adopter, but of course I only use one place at a time, though I install nearly all of his castles in every playthrough, so I like to change the kid beds into follower beds in the homes I am not using for my rug rats because even if not using it as my main home, I will usually pop into one of my homes to spend the night or even a couple days if I am near the area in my questing and travels. Thanks to Skyrimlazz and other modders, I have become quite the landowner and real estate baron. lol They may as well say "heck with Ulfric or Elisif" and crown me High King of Skyrim. ;) (That really SHOULD have been an option lol)

Hey Jade, the wallpaper is this mod: www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/30156/ - the music at the start is "Awake" which is the tune playing when you wake up on the cart going to Helgen - it always makes the hairs on my arms stand up when I hear it - I love it! That's a good point you make about linking other mods which change the look of my game - there are quite a few of them though so I'll never remember all of them. Great, well-lit, good use of tapestries, banners, paintings etc (is someone reading my rubbish posts?) and a castle I would install almost immediately. Two tiny things: 1) I would display some toys in the children's area (maybe a little tweak of the layout?) as seen in other mods. 2) the "coffin room" needs a switch as well like the blood pool, to turn it at least into a, let's say "party room" but without the vampiric touch. Seriously, why even coffins in an area with no light? I know that it is meant to point out that this is for vampires but it's just sooo depressing. Watch the first Underworld and tell me if you see coffins Selene's bedroom. And these vampires turn to dust. So, they use only curtains obviously. Also, a coffin does protect you as much from daylight as a curtain... Open it and it's game over. If you are that kind of vampire. If you are not, a coffin is just an ugly accessory. - Don't get me wrong, I like vampires as much as everyone who wants to be bitten by for example Kate Beckinsale but the Skyrim vampires are mostly more like what, cannibals who have no style at all with fangs? Am I ranting? I hope not. Um, as I said: a switch to turn the vampire party room (that's what the bedrolls in the middle of the room are for, I presume) into a general party room. 😉 Btw. the master bedroom is fantastic!

I know you love the effect of the ivy indoors, but have you ever had to deal with ivy in real life? It becomes a monster, growing over everything in sight - has to be severely trimmed back often to keep it under control.
@FebrithDarkstar4 жыл бұрын
Yes I have - and I still love it;) I takes a bit of annual maintenance to keep it under control but it's worth it to me for the wall of green it gives me - so much nicer than a fence or a wall. Obvs I wouldn't like it INside my home IRL cos - you know, spiders n stuff /shudder!
