What’s your opinion about lamine yamal rookie from the megacracks 22/23 set. He got one card during that season, topps is now starting putting him in sets with the RC logo but that’s 23/24. He only needs to prove himself

It’s definitely interesting, but I think the rc logo won’t help with people considering that his rookie even though it definitely is! I would equate it almost to a player like Alvarez where he has the earlier riverplate sets and even World Cup. If chrome for whatever reason doesn’t have the rc, then megacracks definitely gets more interesting but I’m sure chrome will include the rc

I think the megacracks is still from the 2023-24 season right? At least that's what PSA are stating on the slabs

My bad, forgot that megacracks actually releases their set before the season starts. In any case, it is his first card, but I am curious to see how much value people will attach to it once all the "rookie" cards become available this season from Topps and other panini sets.

@@thom_1148 ok so he has two cards from megacracks. the foil looking "mega rookie" that's gemming at a very high clip (75/127 are 10s)... I'd avoid that card like the plague. In the 3rd edition megacracks they gave him a regular base BIS that could be a tougher gem and hold some decent value in a PSA 10.

I feel I have to comment on the disrespect for Griezmann. Dude was the player of the tournament for the 2016 Euros. He was easily the best player for France at the 2018 World Cup and if you disagree you either didn't watch or don't know footy. He was also incredible in the 2022 World Cup as a playmaker and distributor. He is now 4th in caps for France and 3rd in goals all-time as someone who plays an offensive mid position. He deserves to have some respect put on his name

I think it’s definitely interesting if you are first to market especially with the euros coming up, but deco and the next crop of sets are on the way so you may have to be quick!

Imo it’s a horrible rookie class. There’s nobody to chase in these current sets, they’re gonna need to start dropping some of the new guys for anyone to care, especially with no Messi and Ronaldo these days
