I liked this list, wasn't the same old games you see over and over. My favourites are Aerion and Elder Sign :)
@NinjaGeekGames3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I enjoy Aerion too. Not played Elder Sign but do love the cthulhu theme -would you recommend it?
@TheSludgeMan3 жыл бұрын
@@NinjaGeekGames I would! I think I love it because it has lots of fun push your luck dice rolling but actually has interesting decision-making too, it's not just mindless dice chucking. The base game is vastly improved by Unseen Forces and/or Gates of Arkham so I wouldn't recommend it without one or both expansions, unfortunately.

Great!!! I'll check it out

Totally agree with TMB Undertow for #1. Before buying, I spend hours watching playthrough vids until I understood how to play. So glad I did; the replayability of the TMB series is high and I love the quality of the game. Learning the character Stanza was challenging for me, so I also ordered the gearloc Gasket when ordering (play with two gearlocs). Gasket also uses an extra die each turn like Stanza, so that helped to understand Stanza’s play.

Awesome!!! Gasket just arrived for me, looks ace. Thanks for watching!

Very interesting list! I absolutely love Roll Player- amazing solo game

Do you use the expansions??
@Table.Fables7 ай бұрын
@@NinjaGeekGames yes I pretty much always play with Monsters and Minions and I love it; taking on the enemies helps me create the narrative in my mind about the character and I like the extra choice to make during market phase. I’ve not played Fiends & Familiars but tbh it looks like too much overhead. M&M on its own feels just right for me. Do you play with the expansions?
@NinjaGeekGames7 ай бұрын
@Table.Fables Yes, both!!

@@NinjaGeekGames would you say F&F adds a lot that’s worth it over just having M&M? I’m in two minds about getting that one

Extremely shocking how Under Falling Skies isn't on this list. It won Best Solo Board Game of the Year

Watch the first minute again...'Top 5 I've played recently '....Falling Skies is actually sat on my shelf behind me...still sealed so not included on my list.

@@NinjaGeekGames Ah, I see. The title threw me off. It just says top 5 solo dice games. You need to unwrap UFS!!! One of the best.

Is it true that Proving Grounds had wrong information printed to the components and the designer is having to change the manual and the components.
@NinjaGeekGames2 жыл бұрын
Yes, in the first edition there were wrongly printed cards but Renegade Game Studios sent correct items to anyone who needed them. I believe there is a correct second addition out now.

Did you mean draft dice (plural) and not draft die (singular) for Roll Player (not Role Player)?
@NinjaGeekGames10 ай бұрын
In English language Dice can be used as both Plural and Singular...I Google checked too 😊
@jezz2k10 ай бұрын
@@NinjaGeekGames Well I Googled too. Grammarly and Grammarist both say that die is the singular form of dice. I have a lot of dice games and Reiner Knizia's book on the subject and have yet to come across instances of dice in the singular sense. However, my original comment refers to 14:36 "the game requires you to draft die". I've never heard die used as a plural before.
