Thanks for this! I've looked for videos about mods for this game, but find it frustrating that the compilation videos are usually "best in the last year." While modders who still put these things out should certainly get their fair share of callouts, it's also nice for someone new to the modding scene for this game to have a much broader net cast. The actual age of a mod doesn't concern me nearly as much as its quality.

This might be not be the best place to say this but, as someone who has played bf2 basically since launch but never had a computer to mod the game I have always wanted to mod it but now that I recently bought this amazing game, I realized that I don't have much space to install mods and am scared about if I accidentally install a virus, can't figure out how to play vanilla, or not have it easily downloaded. I am hesitant to install a mod so I am wondering how complex, user friendly, and easy to uninstall/ install a mod it is.

Will post for anyone still curious, and hopefully youtube doesn't delete. Storage is self explanatory just manage your file sizes etc. The modding scene of BF2 is pretty safe, its centered around moddb and its a very safe site, I would also recommend getting an AdBlock on the Chrome web store (I've downloaded over 50+ with the adblocker enabled, safe thus far). Most mods coincide with vanilla (stock) sides and they are almost always there, the exception being certain mods that deliberately replace them for the users desire, you can also back up the files to be safe. The complexity is simply understanding how files (usually windows 10) works and most people should be able to learn, so long as you keep track of everything you've done. Uninstalling is also as easy as installing, however certain overhauls require "exe." files to run and override existing files, I am inexperienced with these though I'm sure there is a way. I was in same boat 2020 of march, with almost no computer experience yet i figured it out, and it was very rewarding! I provided links before, though not sure if theyll stick with comment deletion so ill provide under this comment, if they aren't there, guideline would be: -Go to moddb for Star Wars Battlefront 2 Modding -Google Chrome Web Store Extension for Adblock -A video by a guy named "Savage01st" labeled "How to Install Star Wars Battlefront 2 2005 Mods" GL to any readers, modding is possible even for inexperienced computer users.

Hey, can someone help? I recently got a PC and got classic BF2 on it, and tried to download mods. I’ve been able to play smaller ones like single map mods, but any bigger ones (e.g. Clone wars extended, The battles of the clone wars) It doesn’t work. I select the map option in the game but I don’t see any modes. I know others have had this problem, and they say to download the unofficial 1.3 patch. So I did, but no change. I’ve tried everything I can think of for a guy who’s not great with computers.
