Well done, Caleb. The D. B. Trilogy is one of my favorites as well. Almost nothing touches it. Don’t let the NJO books fall too far down your list as the whole story is just as good

Great list! You definitely are more Darkside centric than I am. Ha ha. Although I do like Palpatine as a character. Vector Prime is one of those books that either you loved it or you hated it. I enjoyed it certainly, but it’s not a favorite of mine. My favorite NJO book is balance point by Kathy Tyers.

I’m curious what I’ll think of the rest of NJO since I’ve only read the first three. I’ve been intending to read more, but there are so many books out there I want to get to that it’s fallen a bit lower on the priority list

So I’m a bit of an odd ball so these picks might seem weird or unpopular but I would go: 1. Heir to the Empire 2. Revan (I’ve never played the game just enjoyed the book and the audiobook is exceptional) 3. Kenobi 4. Path of Destruction 5. Darth Plagueis Honorable mentions- Outbound Flight, Dark Lord: Rise of Darth Vader and Jedi Search (I actually liked the Jedi Academy books better than the Thrawn trilogy but I thought Heir was the best book of the 6) Some of the EU has been great. Other books have been a bit of a turnoff. I don’t really have a preference of EU vs Cannon. They both have great stories and then some stories have been misses for me.

I really enjoyed Revan for quite a few years, didn’t understand why it was so divisive in the community. And then I read it again last year for the first time in a while and was a lot more mixed on it. I think the first half or so is genuinely fantastic, and then the second half is really meh Outbound Flight and Jedi Academy are both great. I read JA several times back in high school while I’ve only read Thrawn once, so I may be biased on it… but I think I may actually prefer them as well, now that I think about it. I might have included them in my list but I haven’t read them in several years. I hope to read them again later this year

I tried play playing the Force Unleashed game last year but it was, rough to say atleast. I had some issues and I ended up giving up. After I started reading I found out theres 2 books about it so I plan to read it instead. Def bumping them abit higher due to your recommendation. Kenobi one of my fav books I read so far in the SW universe. Really up there as one of the best I think. Lockdown and Shadow Hunter has been on my read list for a while and I was hoping that both would get Essential Legends Editions together, but only Shadow Hunter just got one. I'll probly be waiting abit and hoping that Lockdown gets one aswell. Also the Clone Wars from season 3 and out are bloody amazing. It really pushed Maul up to one of my fav SW chars. Enjoy the rest! Darth Plagueis was very good. I wasn't super feeling it for the first 100 pages or so and then just BOOM I just sped through it. Actually had similar feelins in several of Luceno's other books. Bane trilogy is just so good isn't it. Path is my fav of the three aswell, but I like them all. One of my picks not mentioned by you would be Heir to the Empire. Again one of the best legends books/trilogies and really should be read by any SW fan. Honorable mentions that I did enjoy quite a bit: Cloak of Deception, Shatterpoint, Labyrinth of Evil, Dark Lord - Rise of Vader, Deceived, Lost Tribe of the Sith. Overall so far as a newer reader I just enjoy the EU/Legends so much more than most of the Canon stuff. Next up for me in the EU is the Jedi Academy Trilogy.

The books for The Force Unleashed are both great adaptations. I’m especially impressed by the second. I wouldn’t say it’s anything mindblowing, but it manages to take what I feel is a really underwhelming story in the game and actually makes it interesting in the book Out of your other picks I have read Deceived and Dark Lord, both of which are very good. I re-read Deceived earlier this year and enjoyed it, and I plan to re-read Dark Lord hopefully soon. I haven’t read it in around five years

@@caleblikesbooks So I finally got to reading Maul - Lockdown and it was honestly alot better than I expected. It was very enjoyable and I think it might be one of the most underrated SW Legends books.

@@SteveHolm89 You need to read Shadow Hunter the Essential Legends Edition. It's just as good as Maul Lockdown.
