Tons of torque, incredibly smooth, excellent balance… not planning to sell it ever!

I have had bandits for 20 years,for price and value you get a lot of bike,I agree the clutch is heavy,the paintwork on the engine is crap,the exhaust is hideous,but I just love them.I have a naked 1250 black 2011 with a Akrapovic can,looks and sounds awesome.Colin

Great vid :) Love that coast road from Cromer. Is it still going? A Triumph on the horizon?
@TBBSBailOut7 жыл бұрын
Yeah its a great road, it's still going, not going to get the Triumph just yet, there's been a few hiccups.

ashley Davies A 1200 S, WHAT A 1200 BANDIT S?, HOW COULD YOU EVER WANT OR NEED ANOTHER BIKE.??? BANDITS ARE THE BEST!!!! LOVED KAWASAKIS FOR OVER 30 YEARS, BUT GOT A 2005 GSF 650 BANDIT, NOT EVEN A BANDIT S, BETTER THAN A BANDIT S. THE BANDIT ACCELERATION WISE, IS SO MUCH QUICKER THAN MY 1984 GPZ750TURBO, THOUGH THE TURBO WOULD HAVE THE BANDIT FOR BREAKFAST, TOP END.BUT MY BANDIT IS LIKE AN UNARMED EXORCET SIDEWINDER POLARUS MISSILE, THAT PULLS UP A STEEP HILL, LIKE IT'S FALLING OFF A CLIFF. KAWASAKIS, I DO A RUDE NOISE, IN THEIR GENERAL DIRECTION!!! BRING BACK BANDITS, BANDITS ARE THE BEST. AND I AIN'T EVEN LYING.

Had a 2016 bandit, smooth, fast, good handling, strong brakes, comfortable, pegs are a bit high, lot of bike and performance for less money, dated looks, unusual wind noise from faring, hard detachable luggage available for sport touring, chain maintenance sucks, center stand, 6 spd, spot on fuel injection, no rider modes, basic electronics, abs, traction control, this bike is super smooth! Upgraded to a st 1300, still wish I kept the Bandit, its grows on u
@Abundance4LL2 жыл бұрын
Do u like the st1300 better?
@robertparisi80162 жыл бұрын
@@Abundance4LL actually sold it. And bought used f6b basically a stripped goldwing, not as sporty as the st, but I'm getting older and want comfort more than sport
@leeengelsman18552 жыл бұрын
So what are you trading it in for?. In what ways will this new bike be better?.
@TBBSBailOut Жыл бұрын
I traded it in for a Street Triple R as i wanted something that really made me enjoy biking again after all the commuting
@CharlieTibbles7 жыл бұрын
Nice Video, You thought about Kawasaki? As got Z8/900/1000 1400GTR or ZZR1400? Or still love the triple that of a triumph lol? If you want torque for days then rocket 3 lol
@TBBSBailOut7 жыл бұрын
Id love a rocket 3 but realistically, I need something smaller. The ninja 650 or street triple would be ideal for what I do.

I have the Honda NT700V 2008 for over 3 years and I do some serious mileage (77m each way) Wellingborough to London every day the bike now is getting bad so I am thinking in getting another one and the bandit 1250 sounds like a great candidate. I would love to know of any issue that I might have and also what year do you recommend to have. Thanks

The brake lines are for shit and the front forks are not great, but the engine is a stinking torque monster and so smooth to ride,

4:40 - there goes that fuel economy he mentioned at number five. Lovely bike though and one I am considering for a touring bike. I'm thinking a naked one with a Givi A660?screen rather than all the plastic but maybe it gives better wind protection with a half fairing. Anyone know about this?
@RHAD-sy3oi7 жыл бұрын
HI Scooty Man. I put a V-Stream TOURING height (they also make a sport height) wind screen plus an MRA X-creen clear spoiler on top of the V-Stream and I love it. The MRA spoiler is adjustable and I can set it for wind in the face or wind completely over the helmet. I have it set in a mid position to give a little breeze on the face and it is still so comfortable riding on the freeway - doing 80 is just as peaceful as doing 60. I have the Bandit 1250 with the half fairing and the V-stream is made to fit right into the screw fittings where the factory low screen mounted - so get the faired model and not the naked. I've done 12 hour days on my bike ( with an aftermarket saddle) before my butt finally went dead - BUT you need an extra set of foot pegs mounted somewhere on the bike. The factory position gets too cramped after an hour or so and just having a second position to put your legs in makes a BIG difference in how long you can sit. I usually ride from tank to tank (150 -180 miles (in theory it should go 225+ miles on 5 gallons)) with out a problem.

Wife wants me to get a versys 1000 or a hayabusa but personally im stuck between a Street triple (which is my favorite bike) or the new Ninja 650 as i used to adore my old ER-6f
@busdriver4Christ17 жыл бұрын
I am a 97 Bandit1200 - 02Busa - 07 Bandit1250 - 12 cbr 250 owner and will tell you that the busa doesn't have good long-range comfort even with bar-risers...although it does have a wonderful seat. For relaxed riding with a strong motor its hard to beat a new Bandit 1250. Busa feels high-strung compared to the 1250...it's happier hauling ass than just cruising (relative to the 1250). Versys 1000 reviews I've seen appears to be a great bike. I don't think you'll be happy with a 650cc class bike after getting used to the low rpm power of a 1250. Good luck!

HEARD THE 1200 IS BETTER THAN THE 1250,!!, CANT BE MUCH IN IT.?? MY '05 GSF 650 BANDIT, NOT EVEN A BANDIT S, IT WAS ESSENTIALLY RAN IN FOR JUST OVER 15,000 MILES. ONE CAREFUL, CAUTIOUS OWNER. THE ENGINE MADE BY A WIZARD, PULLS UP A STEEP HILL, LIKE IT'S FALLING OFF A CLIFF, MAGIC.!!!!!!?
