Thanks Rachna mam for the clear explanation. I have a query on the premium paid. For taxable bonds can we reduce the premium from interest received? In other words would we pay tax on interest received as per the coupon rate, even though the yield could be less due to premium.

One point missing. Some bonds return principle quarterly etc resulting actual interest less than shown. XIRR is higher and total actual yield will be less. For xirr 10 actual gain is about 7 in such cases.

Rachana Ma'am, in comparison to 'the fixed income', 'wint wealth' also offers secured bonds to be purchased by individual's at very attractive interest rates for a similar ticket price. Besides, in 'wint wealth' the tenure is much shorter. Need your suggestion as to which among the two would be a better place to invest. (P.S. - based on my study I guess wint wealth is a better idea, because of the much shorter tenure)

Wint wealth is good but there are lot of Junk bonds also available there with attractive coupon Rate ...better be careful.....i think thefixedincome is good when compared to Goldenpi ....since i have compared both ....based on my study ...same bond when bought through Golden pi ....the YTM is lesser but in Fixed Income.... comparatively higher.... Think before you buy! It's my opinion!

Mam, Tipson is the company name which runs website in the name of TheFixedIncome you mentioned in the video. As per my previous comment. NSE has approved their surrender for all members of Tipson company for debt segment (Bonds). How can anyone purchase bonds through them now? Please reply. Is this a sponsored video by the portal. Why are you not giving this basic disclaimer. Have you ever invested in DHFL bonds or Srei Bonds? You know what happened to these bonds? When you talk about bonds, where are the risk elements of the bonds - nothing is mentioned. you say 12% interest rate and capital protection is the criteria - are you joking - even direct investment in stocks might not get you this kind of return. If a company gives returns of 12% then an investor should be praying for safety of his principal. Are you aware of what happened to AT1 bonds of Yes bank. One sided video to promote the website you are trying to promote and I am 100% sure this is a sponsored video by the website. Ask any paid investor consultant, they will advise to go the mutual fund (debt) if a customer wants to buy bonds as this will be diversified
