If you're not using a lot of gaffer tape, it's worth spending the money on MagTape Pro gaffer tape. The difference between that and what you'd find at your DIY store is night and day. It's standard in theatre and events industries. It's worth looking at how-to videos on taping down cables like events pros do it. There's definitely right and wrong ways to do it! I always preferred black electrical tape to cable ties. As long as the tape isn't staying on too long (electrical tape can get sticky after weeks or months) a little wrap of tape does the job of a cable tie and is quicker to remove, especially if you fold over the end to leave a little tab to tug on when you want to remove it. Thank you for your videos. I'm a 20 (25?) year veteran of visuals and it's renewed my interest in getting back into it.

Oh awesome mate; absolutely top class shout this! This is perfect I'm literally about to rebuy items for my kit bag and I think you might have sold me on that MagTape Pro hahahahah! Yeah that's a class shout too mate, electrical tape really can be the way to go when doing a quick job; I usually use electrical tape to colour code all of my cables, but I might get a colour desgined for temporary practial use yano that's a good idea! So happy to help mate! : D Glad to have you subscribed man! Clearly you've got a lot of dope veteran knowledge of the game - I'm thrilled I've renewed your interest in visuals ahahahah, there's soo much new stuff that's been coming out so it's an exciting time to get back into it!!! Cheers for the info man, Lookin' forward to seeing ya in the comments section again my gee hahahahah!!!

@@Doctor_Mush Cheers! On the subject of tape, you can never go wrong with a roll of black electrical tape for rigging. White if you're feeling fancy, even grey to match steel or chrome. I also like to have a roll of narrow gaffer in fluro pink for labelling, hazard warning or using as spike tape (for marking things out on the floor). I'd recommend a company called LeMark in the UK. They are good people and know their tape Something you didn't mention, I don't think, was Sharpies. The standard marker. You can never have enough Sharpies. They always seem to go missing. I bought a pack of five knock-offs at the Pound Shop recently and they seem ok!
