I’m just going through an interview process for a data science role and in the last interview the conversation dominated around a predictive app I used around my piano practice data (1,300 hours) to predict how long it will take me to learn a piece based on various features. Not only that I could talk about it but unlike work related projects, I could share the app, analysis and code which wouldnt be possible with company data. I have no formal coding background so what David says here really works! :)

Very informatve video @David Langer. Is it possible to generate a URL to showcase interactive portfolio projects executed using MsExcel on Linkedin like you'd do with say power BI or tableau?

If I understand the question correctly, here's what I would suggest: 1 - No matter what technology you use (e.g., Excel, Power BI, R, etc.), showcase your project by creating a GitHub project for it. 2 - Provide plenty of written documentations/descriptions on GitHub for your project. 3 - Create a high-quality KZbin video (ideally with your face visible) introducing/describing your project. 4 - Include links to your GitHub project in the KZbin video description. 5 - Make a compelling thumbnail for your KZbin video. 6 - Share the KZbin video on LinkedIn.
