U can buy faster frequency RAM. No need to get the same frequency ram. This is the only criteria which we can choose for better performance. Rest can't be chosen. Like if you have 8 GB in first slot, you have to get 8 gb for second slot.

@@anujmuzik Ok. They will never say these things. See what happens. If you install higher frequency RAM, Because of the 7th Gen processor the clock speed may be limited at 2133MHz. As far as I know starting form 8th or 9th Gen few things got changed. Older processors were not supporting much stuff.

Yes. Logically it will only use bigger RAM which is 8GB. The load balance mechanism get disturbed. U will see in computer 12GB but it will act like 8GB. So just 4+4 is ideal. Also ur laptop is only 7th gen. Total 8gb will be sufficient.

If do it, can I use the existing 1tb hdd in my laptop as an internal hdd, not extarnal. Please reply within 20 minutes if possible.

It will work. Only concern that u will not get complete 2666 mhz speed because of the slot. Ur slot will support only 2400 mhz max.

No benefit of ur laptop doesn't support dual channel ram. I recently tested this. I'm my laptop also 2400 mhz ram in one slot and i bought 2666 mhz ram but actual is coming only 2400 mhz. So don't waste money on high frequency. Just go with 2400 mhz ram only. If your laptop supports dual channels then no issues. U can go with higher one

No buddy. U can't do that. It's something like u cannot put three pin plug into two pin socket. Ddr3 4 5 etc are socket types. So it won't fit in slot.

It depends on your motherboard whether it supports dual channel or not. If not, dual channel ram will be useless because it will not appear after installing it

Buy the Kingston RAM or ADATA RAM. Link is there in the Video description. I don't think there is an M.2 SSD slot in your laptop. You may have to replace the HDD with SSD.

SSD is first required. But u need at least 4 gb ram as free to smoothly run windows 10. Ur old hard disk might be very slow. So windows 10 will get stuck. So u need to upgrade both SSD and Ram u can got for 128gb ssd only to run windows ans apps. Rest things u can keep in HDD

No don't do that. Logically the memory will act like 16gb due to load balance. It will not act like 24gb. U can upgrade to 8+8 or 16+16.

DDR3 max frequency limit is 1600, but your port should also support that. Don't go for 8gb ram. DDR3 RAMs are quite outdated and references are not available much. Go with DDR3 4gb ram only. Coz I'm sure, the processor itself can not handle so much multitasking. So RAM will be useless.

The resultant frequentcy u will get only 800mhz. Because it will not support dual channel rams.. So don't waste money on high frequency ram. So total ram will be 6gb 800mhz
