I just came from your other video where you mention stagehand work and here you mention filming in people's houses, I used to be the guy bringing cardboard and rubber mats for scene shoots so houses wouldn't get damaged. It's funny how much these different lines of work have elements crossing over into each other.

Great tips, but from a customer's perspective, I usually give higher ratings to service workers (e.g delivery guys) when they don't ask for a rating rather than when they ask. So, I'm thinking I'll get a higher rating if I do the same and don't ask, but let my job and personality speak for itself. What do you think?
@Amtonyp2 жыл бұрын
Completely agree, I've always done the same and received high ratings this way. Just thought I'd suggest it as an option if your ratings are less than stellar.
@keitht.27272 жыл бұрын
I own a service company and find I only get a couple reviews a year unless I ask in a less intrusive manner: "I just realized my google bumps my rating up with reviews. Can you leave one if you have time someday?" etc.
@jamiestillplayswithcars Жыл бұрын
I disagree, embrace the rating system, do not be afraid to talk about it. “Mr./Mrs. Customer, as you might be aware, ratings are an important part of this business. Is there any reason at all that you would not leave me the highest rating possible?” If something was not to the customer’s liking this is also an opportunity to fix it, it is good for business, don’t just assume you did a great job. And if you truly deserve a less-than-perfect rating, now would be a good time to discuss it. For instance, I totally botched an appointment and set it for the wrong time, I also failed to reach out to that customer the day before the appointment, where I would have realized that I set it for the wrong time. Upon completion of the job I brought up the rating, I owned my mistake and asked that if the customer was to leave a rating less than 5 stars to please also leave a brief comment as to why the rating was what it was, rather than a generic 1, 2, 3 or 4 stars. None of us are perfect, but with the input of others’ we can work on being better tomorrow than we were yesterday.

I live about 2hours away from L.A. I don’t think there will be much work around my area. I think L.A. can be a great market to make my drive worth. Do you have the option to choose the area you want to service? Or is it solely based on my home address?

Furniture Assembly and Ikea Assembly.

@Amtonyp3 жыл бұрын
I had previous work experience with tools which is why I found my groove doing furniture assembly and quickly realized how well it pays. But if you're just starting out and don't have much experience, try out personal assistant gigs. The pay will start out low but you'll learn a lot along the way and some tasks might even require you to put together small things for your client. As for anything on Taskrabbit, your success is all based on how well you can follow instructions. Good luck my friend!
@Amtonyp3 жыл бұрын
@@muhammadzamanhaji9192 Download the taskrabbit app and click "Become a Tasker" then just follow the instructions to do a background check, I believe it's about $20-$30. Once you're approved, you can fill out your profile: add a photo, set your hours, share your work experience, and pick the type of tasks you'd like to do.

Does Taskrabbit take care of your taxes W-2 or do you?
@Amtonyp3 жыл бұрын
So since taskrabbit is not considered an employer, they don't provide you with a W-2 form. The company is required to provide you a Form 1099 if you earn more than $20,000 and perform more than 200 tasks in the calendar year. Even if you don't receive a 1099, you must still report your Taskrabbit income. Make sure to check your state's tax rules for independent contractors.
@keitht.27272 жыл бұрын
@@Amtonyp I've always filled out a 1099 if I do more than $600 of work for someone in a year

Audit yourself, take a good look at your profile description and profile picture. Would you hire yourself? Do you seem inviting and welcoming for the job? Try changing your profile picture, or writing a new description. Look up examples and try it out!

Hi Anthony - my skill set is some specialized training and coaching with kettlebells, diet and exercise for older guys. Is taskrabbit a place I can monetize this value and skill set? Thank you. Great site. I could also help with pretty much anything like personal assistance, lifting and moving stuff for seniors, etc.
