From this lost, my personal favourite would be the Ford Focus ST170. Not that I'm denying the others are great. To me the Focus has the best looks, great handling and good power. No that I've driven one yet. My parents had a Mk1 Focus estate and as a passenger was comfortable and seemed handle corners well. Great video again. Enjoying these videos 😁

My dad had a mk1 Focus. It was only a 1.8 lx but i borrowed it for a few weeks when one of my cars broke down and it was a pretty well put together car tbh. I quite enjoyed driving it, i think they look pretty good too. Don't really understand why they're so cheap.

Not that I have the money, room or anything really to be able to get one but I can keep looking. Always loved them since by cousins boyfriend bought one from new many years ago. He parked it in a hedge.... 😂

I really am wanting an Accord Type R at the minute but a bit too expensive. I just find that everyone goes for the Civic Type R and I just like to be different. 😂

the e46 is an absolute weapon on track 100-110kph in corners and it still goes but it burns about 30l of gas in 100kilometeters

I'd love to drive an E36 some day, they have a type of "stiff" "worn" feel to them by the interior of the one's I've been in. Maybe I've just been in almost junkyard ones lol. Finally a good list with some great picks and valuable commentary tho, all I've seen are these sort of computer made generic videos with literally a translator talking over a song, thanks for making this

glad I got a 1.6 nissan micra in canada new for under 10000 dollors Edit= I live in canada bought it brand new for 9300$ new with the 1.6 no options but its a fun car to rip around in. aux input is as fancy As I got lol but shes a great car. Had It for six years now paid off and it runs great and is a blast to drive.

They will be great fun, a lot of people use them for club 1000 races and there's actually a Citroen C1 (the same car) endurance series, you should check out a few videos if you haven't seen it. Be great for learning the basics and a cheap way of getting involved in a proper race series but they will be a lot slower than most other things on a track day

surprised the clio wasnt in it. and im slightly biased. but protons are really popular for cheap motorsport (although the gti's are probably a little more than 1k)

Only reason i didn't pick the Clio was because i think if you were going to get one you'd probably at least want a 172 sport and it's getting hard to find them for under 1k now and the Proton Satria GTI is an awesome shout but like you say they're hard to find for under 1k (or at all)

It really depends on which car you go for and what is a available, i've used BC coilovers on my last 3 track cars and they've been great value for money

Bro, the last 3 on your list is pointless. You cannot buy said cars on that budget. The base model has roughly that price not the ones with the big engines. I know 3 years passed but e.g. the cheapest st170 is well over £2k. I found one that has a crashed front for 1.2k EUR but fixing it will make it a 2k car. Micra: you can buy any of them for the budget Saxo: Good luck finding a VTS in budget and in decent condition Focus: the st170 is way over budget ZS: does barely exist outside UK E46: even the base models cost more than the budget not to mention the 330

When I made this video you could buy any of those cars for under a grand in the UK. I know it was only 3 years ago but car prices have gone through the roof since then. There's not a lot you can buy for under £1,000 anymore, not even cheap daily runarounds

Starlet is another great shout, it's very similar to the K11 in many ways. I put the Clio in th best track cars for under 2k video i did just because it's difficult to pick up a 172 sport for less than 1k now

At the time of making the video they were well under 1k in the UK but unfortunately not anymore. Our second hand car market has gone to shit 😪

The second hand car market has obviously gone a bit wild since I made this video but you can still easily get any of those cars for under 1k apart from maybe the E46

@@LeadFootash23 it has indeed. Obviously you're just going to make a point, since i started looking into track cars, i realised there's cheap car and cheap to run car. E90 might be same price as a 1.6 fiesta but you'll go through tyres 2x faster on BMW and weight to power ratio better than any 2 litre. Just to consider for those looking for info.
