loved the look and solid feel of the cxt-2 but returned them, they fit length wise but needed the toe box to be a little wider. Will check out the inov8s. Thanks for the video!

Absolutely agree with the CXT-2s in the #1 spot. They’re my go-to from bro-lifting to functional fitness. I have the carbon elites also, but they’re just too “springy” for me.

This is always one of my favorite videos of the year, so thanks, Joel! I was thinking about this last year as well, but would be curious to get your take on the top training shoes overall on the market (i.e., how do the Haze, RAD Ones or any other prior year releases still available stack up against the current crop of offerings). Happy New Year!

Good list. I also did King Kong for my birthday, also in December, in the CXT2. They’ve been my only training shoe since your review of them. I am interested in the F lite max, mostly for the wider toe box.

@@fusiongains great shoes with toebox wider than I personally need but they almost took my #1 spot either way.

Foost has a new lifting shoe, any chance you could review them. I haven't seen a review, in English, of them yet.

Another nice review and, as you state, 'best' is an individual decision. That said, for ME, the best CF training shoe of 2024 is STILL the Metcon 8. I have been very intrigued to try the Metcon 1 OG, but did not like the black/red/white release color way . . . however, Nike just released a new color way (black/white/metallic cool grey) that I ordered and looking forward to trying. In terms of other CF shoes I occasional throw into the mix, the Flex Control 4 is my go-to for WODs with RUNNING AND LIFTING. Not only (in MY opinion) the best training shoe on the market for the price ($50-70 depending on color way), simply a great all around trainer. If I did not have access to the Metcon 8/Flex Control 4 combo, next on my list are the Haze Trainer, Reign 6 and 260 V2. Although great in their own rights, they simply take a backseat for MY needs and interests on a day-to-day basis compared to the Metcon 8/Flex Control 4 . . . as above, very curious to put the Metcon 1 OG through the test. Happy New Year!

Hey Joel! Big fan of your reviews. I bought the NoBull Drives based on a review you did several months ago and, they are a pretty good shoe for everything except rope climbs and heavy lifts. Would those shoes have been an honorable mention for you this year?
@AMRAP17 күн бұрын
@@jasonmeulemans4564 yeah likely, they’re just more like flat running shoes you can get away with lifting in. I prefer a better lifting shoe you can get away with running in.

How is sizing in the flites? If I’m normally a 10 in athletic shoes, go with a 10?
@AMRAP17 күн бұрын
Sizing is a little inconsistent but I would recommend going with your normal size. They can fit a little short, I have 10's that feel like 10.5 and 10.5 that feel like 10 so its kind of a mixed bag.

Can you please review “Realfoot”barefoot shoes? They said their barefoot shoes have the widest toe box in the world Really attractive to me
@AMRAP17 күн бұрын
@@user-30678-LTC I can look into it but that review would be biased towards me - I tried a brand called “weak shoes” and they were way too wide for my feet. It was comically wide for my pretty average width feet so I hated them.
