FYI. Radio #2 (FosPower) ,#3 and #4 are made by the same company. Sold by multiple company’s. #3 is the “updated” version. I have #2. (By Running Snail) it works great. I can receive all the Weather Channels. I think it depends on your area. The light button setting “Motion” on #3 is for the reading light. The sensor is on the back of the radio (Below the light button on the top).

No offense, but, so far, radio #1 seems to suck, IMO. I'm shopping for a NWS/NOAA Emergency Weather radio with S.A.M.E. capability (SPECIFIC AREA MESSAGE ENCODING CAPABILITY) AKA weather only for my area, NOT an AM/FM radio.

Great video. But i do have one question, If you had to run one of these radios by the crank only, which would you choose?

I would choose the fospower. Seemed to be the highest quality crank. I didn't measure the output of each crank so I can't comment on that.

@@TwoMinuteTech-oq2bx Thanks for your advice. I can't seem to find any improvement on Trevor Bayliss' 'free radio', its like it's been snuffed out. It used a clock winding dynamo that nobody seems to have taken forward. For now tho, I'll look into fospower. Thanks for your reply 👍

@@TwoMinuteTech-oq2bx You SHOULD, definitely, state how long of radio time you get, for how much crank you have to do to get it (the radio time.) I've read, repeated, reviews stating how they can hand crank forever for a VERY small amount of radio time. I think that matters, immensely.

No offense, but this was a huge waste of time. I don't need a portable radio. I'm in NEED of a NOAA radio that will signal to me when I'm asleep with an alarm and allow a clear, loud message. These seem like VERY overpriced AM FM radios.
