Because you suggested it, I got a bottle of Nikka from the Barrel the other week (for myself, not a gift haha😅) and loved it. Great suggestions!

Great suggestions! Feel free to make longer videos - you are interesting to listen to! and I’d love to see some peated scotch reviews if you enjoy that type of single malt scotch! Cheers!

Love your picks. It’s funny cuz you look too young to drink. I’m subscribed and will keep watching. Cheers!

I have tried each of your picks except the gooderham (it's impossible to get in germany) and i have to say the only one that it'd knock down is the laphroaig 10. It's a far too dividing flavor to gift someone (especially beginners). I'd rather put a kilchoman sanaig on that spot, if we have to pick something peated. Much rounder peat notes along with a heavily cherried taste. Not too complex. I recetly got the bottle for 50€

Laphroaig is a peaty one that’s for sure! The Kilchoman Samaig is 👌, but unfortunately here in Canada it’s closer to $110. Always so interesting to hear how costs differ in different places! At 50€ that’s comparable to $75 CAD. I wish I could get it at that price!

@@shortpours Well, you (most likely) have the advantage of having relatively cheap bourbons :P a wild turkey rare breed goes for anything from 45 to 55€ here.

It depends on the individual! I was introduced to scotch with Lagavulin 16 and immediately had Ardbeg Ten and Laphroaig 10 and immediately fell in love with peated scotch! Some people love a Laphroaig quickly! I hear you that for some it can be overwhelming!

Glad to see a new Canadian whisky reviewer. Minor problem that detracts from your presentation and credibility is your pronunciation of the scotch names. Good luck.

Each video I’m finding more to improve on, thanks for the note - I’ll add it to the list!

What Johnnie Walker do you think is the best for beginners?

I'm quite fond of the Johnny Black. Some nice toffee in there, a whisp of peat and smoke, and a little citrus to balance it out
