Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

I was just fishing a good size pond in Pennsylvania and after listening to you I realized I'm winter fishing for bass all wrong Thank-you for you insight. I'm heading back now to give it a nother try😊
@chriscomer2612 жыл бұрын
Mike, thanks for the in-depth video. I am not a big fan of the crankbaits mainly due to the treble hooks but if you ever want to get over your fears then you learn how to handle the treble hooks. I have been fishing with more crankbaits and learning a lot from you. Now I love working a jig. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.

Great video Mike, I wish I had more confidence in a jig, I just can't seem to get a bite on that lure. But the small swimbait, is killer in my neck of the woods especially for smallmouth. As our the jerk baits and the tight wobble crank. Love the content, always look forward to new vids. Keep up the great work and thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge.

Florida gets pretty cold in the winter. That's ok because since it is Florida I can still catch a fish on a topwater popper style plug. Florida is the only state next to Hawaii in which you can accomplish such a feat

I’m a NJ angler and new to your channel. Love the videos on winter fishing so far. 1 year ago this time, I bought a Tracker170 Pro. Love it and have been fishing NJ lakes and reservoirs. I do ok, but would like to catch better size fish. I’m having trouble finding the bass during this time. Are they shallow like 10-20 foot of water or deeper than that? When out on 12/31 and caught two nice brown trouts on Merrill in 30ft. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
@mikeiaconellifishing2 жыл бұрын
Stay deep and try to find bait first if you have a fish finder, there will be bass around the bait in those reservoirs. Use small baits like a swimbait or ned rig that mimics the bait. Good luck Anthony and thanks for watching!

You da man-love your videos! Don’t fish for bass much at all but feel so many of your tips, tricks & recommendations can cross over to inshore saltwater fishing (specifically Speckled Sea Trout). Have absolutely crushed Specks with a Shad Rap which have been modified to suspend! In my opinion, Bass fishing has been dissected more so than any other inshore fish, but as these other species of inshore fish get more attention…are studied more & more, I really feel like the similarities between the two will become more apparent. My opinion.., anyway appreciate you sharing your knowledge! And put some more water in that fish tank bro!😂
