Dude absolutely!! Make ‘‘em and we will buy them!! I bet most anglers have tried to make their own jigs as well. I know I’ve done it. I made my own to experiment with different colors that you normally can’t buy over the counter.

Me to!! I'd sure try them if you make them. One of my absolute favorites is a D&N jig, Cumberland Craw color. I've caught bass from Indiana all the way to Florida on that jig and color. Semper Fi from an old Marine

Love the Speed Trap and the DT cranks. On the chunk trailer, I use a worm piece as well to keep it from riding up. I put the fat part of the chunk down. Most of the old school jig fisherman do as well.

As long as there’s a finesse jig in the lineup I’m all in. Use a lot of full size jigs too but in the last few years the compact jigs have really moved to the front for me.

the ramble is good...like minded fisherman...if you dont get excited and ramble.....maybe thats why some dont excel like you...the passion for what you're doing is in your voice...and the content is priceless to those that cant fish as much as you do ..years of practice and fishing in a short video for that amount of info and content ...the extent of the explanations have taught me so much understanding...not...do this and throw this....but the reasons why, earned by those that learned the hard way is so amazing to be able to learn so easily from my computer at work....on the way to work....at lunch...at home...losing sleep to learn when water time isnt available is incredible....good luck this year...ur own videos prolly will make it tougher year after year lol

I grew up in Indiana, southern tip of L. Michigan. Weather patterns have changed but in the 80's we would fish a lipless (rattle trap) at ice out. The water was still super cold, but we speed cranked em, absolutely burning them, and get that reaction bite. Some of my best 100+ fish days have come that way. When they're on it, they're on it BIG! Good video bro!

So I don't use jig chunks consistently but do carry them. I have threaded one on maybe twice this winter. The difference between threading and hooking is 1) the hooked chunk can swing and gives a larger appearance of a creature. Unfortunately hooking a chunk can result in the flap impaling itself and blocking the hook up when you get a bite. Threading the chunk gives a smaller profile and less action. My understanding is, traditionally, the bulk of the chunk is face down. That would make sense because the thick portion closer to the water as the jigs falls through water column would create more friction and slow the jig's fall. Secondly, the flaps could enhance secondary action on the fall. My chunks also has ridge lines across the thick portion when rigged this way so it was designed by the manufacturer to sit on the jig with the thicker portion downwards. But go out and conduct your own tests and make video about it. Let us know.
