Can we talk about how Humans have been top tier for what feels like thousands of years, but still keep getting buffed?

Humans are going to get nerfed soon, by the "out of resource" debuff, that is going to stop the growth of the winning streak.
@kirinotosaki90044 жыл бұрын
Humans kept getting nerfs, but they're main perks are their high intelligence stats, in most of the servers, the intelligence stat is the most broken stat to ever exist, sure it needs a build that accommodate with that high intelligence, but when played right, it'll dominate the server. That's why it was so high in the tier list.
@captainahab27113 жыл бұрын
When your intelligence becomes high enough you unlock the ability to install mods and hack into the source code. It grants humans abilities that even the devs couldn't program into the game.

@@SoupTurtle16 People keep predicting this nerf, but it never comes. There was the Malthusian update, the Peak Oil update and the Population Bomb update that kept getting hyped but were never released. The extra physical damage has long since fallen off, it cuts your intelligence and accuracy in half while active, prevents you from running away and it stops you running far better abilities like Precision or Focus. The whole tooth regeration thing is something that's always bugged me. How on earth is it that our nails constantly grow but our teeth dont'? Like, teeth are WAY more valuable to us!
@kaja39326 ай бұрын
I can't argue with how unoptimized our teeth are, and I agree they need some kind of regeneration, but I think you are severely underestimating nails and I would like to offer a different, but admittedly uninformed perspective. TLDR: Small tools are the most relevant to simians, and fingernails let them use small tools better than even most birds Since our fingers' small size make them really squishy, reinforcing them with an exoskeleton of sorts massively increases our precision, dexterity, and maximum grip strength with the pinch move, primarily against small objects. This makes us just as proficient with small tools as we are with large ones, which is important since small tools are the most relevant for the tasks simians need tools for. As a result, having nails to reliably use small tools is arguably why simians are reliable tool users in general

Instruction can occur through imitation or bodily gestures. What they lack is the ability of speech and complex language. Teaching is an ability that was discovered and specced into, much before the homo sapiens patch rolled around. As far as I understand.

As a Hummingbird main, I would like to point out a flaw from the stamina portion that you might have forgotten. Torpor is mainly an ability hummingbird mains need in order to log out or whenever they become AFK. The devs had been strategic about it, so that each time torpor is used to rest, at most 10% of weight loss occurs. When there is no food around, Hummingbirds can willingly lower their temperature and heartbeat in order to wait for nectar deposits to replenish or small insects to come. Torpor also allows the preservation of glucose, water, and nutrients, letting them replenish HP at a slow rate. Furthermore, resting is a main part of a hummingbirds day, for flying around all day is costly to a hummingbird’s health. I hope you will be able to take this into consideration, instead of jumping the gun and saying the movement is inefficient.
@Dodoraptor45 жыл бұрын
I disagree about the tooth regeneration. Teeth that can’t be replaced have their own advantage: they are more complex than replaceable teeth, which in exchange requires more EXP. It’s a trade off with a big advantage and a big disadvantage that mammals found to be the better choice. And constantly growing teeth have a reason being in rodent and herbivore classes because of the constant need to chew tough plants, which unlike most fruits and meat, drastically wear down the teeth. I think hooves are more problematic than constantly growing teeth because unlike them where the negative effects a softer diet can be countered by chewing things, a change in the biome you play in will result in either them growing too much without help from a human teammate or wear down. But at the end of the day they still have their own advantage.

To be fair on the whole nocturnal thing, early mammal players did that for a while during the Mesozoic expansions, and things obviously worked out pretty well for them when the K/T balance patch hit. Now I'm not saying you should go nocturnal and just hope the competition gets banned someday, but it can be more than just a copout sometimes. It does suck that mammals ended up sacrificing the tetrachromatic vision trait as part of this strategy though. They still haven't really gotten it back, though some primates and marsupials managed to put enough points in to at least unlock trichromacy again.

A good tactic is to go nocturnal directly after you finish the tutorial. A lot of faction leaders need nocturnal humans and will even offer more GP for easier quests to nocturnal players. Then, you can switch factions later into one that lets you play daytime. Future potential faction leaders will see that you progressed some critical skill trees during quests from your previous faction, which makes you a better candidate for membership. Just like that, you've broken into the faction system from nothing and managed to propel yourself into a faction that hopefully gives out more GP than most. Of course, not as applicable to humans doing the college questlines. To me there's just to much risk to do that questline, the crippling debt debuff is seriously damaging.

I love how a f*cking BUTTERFLY is strong enough to take on a damn humming BIRD! A BIRD is being trounced by one of the most poorly designed of all insects.... that's when you know god is dead. lol
@chitinskin98605 жыл бұрын
Poorly designed? You sure about that? All insects are designed pretty well, especially butterflies. Lepidopterans in general are well built to use debuffs, flight, spider web resistance (very significant for any insect build) and sheer numbers. They occupy a huge range of different life strategies. The caterpillars tend to go with zerg rushing, camouflage, or making themselves walking hazards. As an imago, they usually wind up pretty similar, but may have mimicry, visually deterrent wing patterns, and/or poisonous organs or scales. As for butterflies specifically, many have wings strong enough to knock most hovering creatures out of the air (or at least off balance), and their vision is phenomenal (in every area except distance, but the trade off is worth it solely for the huge perception buff). Lepidopteran imagines tend to focus on stat boosts and status effects over more obvious abilities, but this definitely doesn't make them poorly designed. In this case, the butterfly was secure and feeding, also fully alert of the tiny bird, which is perpetually frantic and this one was distracted. It was at a clear advantage.

Unfortunately on the America server, I have to deal with humans with a -3 intelligence stat.
@runtergerutscht44014 жыл бұрын
Yeah I think for consistent average intelligence points overall you need to select a region with socialized education, as some european regions among others have. My experience is that this preset option greatly increases the game quality as a moderate intelligence buff already grants a good deal of protection against the "ill informed" debuff. This debuff, on the other hand, can lead to many other variations that are more or less severe like the "conspiracy theorist" debuff or the "brainwashed" debuff, which is a way of manipulating people's thoughts and emotions. If your region has enough of these debuffs stacked on enough people it can actually debuff your society as a whole, leading to the "unstable society" debuff, for example, which can lead to many things, with war and revolution both being possible. Just saying, for a species whose main stat is Int, not enhancing it seems like a bad player choice.
@runtergerutscht44014 жыл бұрын
For clarification, the debuff "brainwashed isn't actually mind control. It is a debuff usually applied by other pvp humans that picked "politician" as a class. It is usually reinforced by propaganda and mass media and, while it is indeed no mind control, it shouldn't be underestimated due to it's great potential as mass crowd control, often leading to these politician players achieving ridiculous killcounts. To name a few politician mains who successfully employed "brainwash": -Adolf Hitler, with a whole world event being accounted to him -Joseph Stalin, who managed to mix "brainwash" with his main skill "secret police", which passively eliminates possible political rivals to stabilize the biggest nation on earth. Honourable mentions: -Basically every religious ruler ever, as well as major institutions like the christian church or the flat earth society, although the last two are not technically politicians

Days are not longer than nights as a whole anywhere. That doesn't even make sense. Each year at any given locale contains a shift towards longer days, reaching a peak, followed by a perfectly corresponding shift towards longer nights, reaching an inverse peak, and then the cycle repeats. Taking annual migrations into account, most players do a good job of tipping the scales towards longer days a bit relative to their experienced times, but that's as far as it goes.

@@TierZoo No worries and sorry if I came off as crass. Easy slip of the tongue to make and again, I wasn't sure if you meant that "taking migrations into account, days can often effectively be longer than nights". Amazing vid as always.

if you count day time starting when the middle of the sun is at the horizon and night time starting when the middle of the sun is at the opposite horizon you would be correct. but the daylight lasts from several minutes before to several minutes after this so the effect is longer daylight than no daylight.

It's so unrealistic that humans are the most powerful even though they only have the most Intelligence and Endurance. You'd think that they'd get nerfed after the Nomad update but they only got more buffed every update! I swear the developers are so one-sided, it's gotten to the point where a Lvl. 50 Human is WAY better than a Lvl. 100 Polar Bear due to the gunpowder update. And I swear, don't even get me started on the Nuclear update, I pretty much threw out my copy of the game after that update came out.

How convenient that the word "Devs" is also the term for God in Latin (when "v" was still used for both "v" and "u").

also in today's Latin and Portuguese. After rounding the "v" shape, we started to use the "u", so ''Devs" became "Deus". Devs Vvlt @_@

Maybe that's where english took the word from. It's not impossible, after all, robot is a similar case in which it translated to slave or something similar in a death language (I don't remember exactly which one, though).
@qosar671games4 жыл бұрын
@@Ditidos I didn't know that czech is a "death language", lol. AkChUaLly robot is a word introduced by Karel Čapek, czech writer. Robota/rabota means "work" in slavic languages, so "robot" can be translated as "worker".

@@qosar671games Oh, my confusion then. I though it was from an acnient language and that it mean slave. Although I'm pretty sure it was a straight up stolen term, not an adaptation. But I'm not sure, maybe I'm just mixing things.

This got me curious, why are we endlessly regenerating our nails? Like i get protecting the skin underneath the nail but the nails being extra large dosen't really help with anything, not even attack because that's why we punch it deals more damage than scratching.
