Last season i beat dwarfs 1-0 with my goblins. Second match of my season, they had a redrafted Deathroller aswell....No idea how i pulled it off. Was a nightmare match up

Lizardmen are the only tier 1 team without “true” linemen in the sense that their players are either all strength or all speed. No player is just average.

Skaven VS Lizardmen is truely a hard one... Got this match up on semi-final for the last offline League we had and it was brutal. I managed to win with Skavens, but it was a very very tough game. Actually it ended up 2-2 but then we went on extra half and i got lucky to recieve the ball and made a touchdown in 2 turns

Dwarves were my first team, played em in a casual league at my LGS and went 6-1-2 with more or less no idea wtf i was doing. Loved em

That would be fun topic on tournament rosters....I know you rarely cover tournament stuff but this would be a different conversion based on for example current euroball rules. You could even re do the "team for tournament" segment since most competitions are based on this ruleset.

I recently finished a league with my Halfling team, and while I totally agree about the difficulties in facing a Dash team over a Bash team, I did find a team that was an absolute nightmare to face: Chaos Dwarf. Whatever little advantage you might have with Halflings against other teams, these guys remove completely. Dodge to keep your guys alive. Not if the opponent's got Tackle. At least I'm a bit more manoverable thanks to Stunty. Nah, their linemen's got MA6. And they got Bullcentaurs. But my two Treemen are the strongest players on the pitch. Blitzing Minotaur has entered the chat...

I often found that dwarves were frustrating to play with. If you're going up against a fast team and you don't down enough of their key players, they've just dodged around you and are now a speck in the distance. You need good placement with dwarves

I scored a one turn touchdown with nurgle on my first turn of the game when I kicked to them. A combination luck/opponent stupidity. And before you say impossible: The kick off event was defensive blitz and pestigores move 6 before go for its. I was 5 squares into the other teams zone before they started their first turn.

Then when the opponent is dumb enough to attack pestigore without protecting the ball and unlucky enough that he rolls attacker down then a second time on his reroll. Meaning I had to roll a 3+ to pick up the ball, and 1+ go for it 2 times.

One match up I have played a few times is Blorc vs Skaven. It is impossible for the black orc player to do anything (tv1000) if the skaven coach has 4 gutters.

It’ll be hard, but you do have the speed. If you manage to mark their key players when your ball carrier runs past them, they can’t dodge away to come after the ball.

Since I started playing nurgle in bb3 dwarves became less scary. Simply take pushes and don’t follow up. Let them advance 1 square a turn when they are on offence. give them no blocks (they get 1 blitz). Even nurgle outruns them if pestigores used right.

My Elven Union deep passing team use similar defensive tactics and absolutely shred them on offense with run, long pass, run. Seeing a dwarf team trying to cover four Elven Union Catchers when the thrower has cannoneer is hilarious. 😂

Interesting list! Many good points there! Speaking of Khorne, which I am playing in the current season of our local league, one team that feels surprisingly much like a counter are Imperial Nobility of which we have two in the league, out of ten total teams. As Khorne your thing is Frenzy, but the nobs have Fend on all their linemen and SF on the bodyguards so in my first game against the first nob team it felt like I had no skills whatsoever. Now I have a few more Block and stuff so it will be interesting to see how the next game against nobs will go!

I play with dark elves a lot and out of all the teams I think Norse are my worst match up! I’m not much faster than them, most have block so are hard to move and they have the strong frenzy players to push their way through my defences. Horrible match up.

The team i dread playing against with any other team is orcs they have most bases covered in terms of what they can do and withstand it always feels like an up hill batte. Enjoyed the vid!

I can beat Dwarfs at times with my Lizardmen, but I almost always take a couple of deaths and four to six injuries.

I am going to disagree, on a purely personal basis with the no1. I run a Elven Union team with a focus on deep passing and Dwarves are the easiest team to pass on, we aren't talking dink and dunk, we are talking ten square passes on a 3++ (Cannoneer). The dwarves strengths...durability and removal... If you don't block much, and I don't, and always disengage, I do, these are not a factor. And you can stop a dwarf cage if you are patient. Passing elves vs dwarves, the slow guys make one mistake, you score. If they are two scores back, a snowball is very likely as they have to open up their gameplan.
