Facts. She was a brilliant gameplay mechanic for puzzles, one of the zeldas with the most personality, funny, has good character development, it actually felt like there was a connection in the relationship between her and link for once :) I love her

Navi was gamechanging as far as helping with the transition to 3d, basically setting the trend for camera control.

Such a great point! I think I was treating Navi as more of a character than a useful tool for the player, and I definitely overlooked the camera control aspect.

You should do a Zelda OST list. The Great Sea theme from Wind Waker and the overworld theme from Spirit Tracks being my personal favorites but there's so many great tracks to choose from. Also, amen to Midna and Ezlo getting some love as well.

Tatl is sassy I like that in a character plus she doesn't beat around the bush "Smells like blood" "smells like gunpowder" "You can stick around if you want" gurl... plus her ringing reminds me of tinkerbell which...might be on purpose

Navi gets some heat as annoying but she's classic and far more helpful than anything else.

So yeah I know you are talking about the games. But I want to mention some things for Navi, such as for the Manga of Ocarina of Time. When she first arrives to Link to warn him of the evil, Link is suddenly overwhelmed with joy that a Fairy approaches him as such he would fit in with the other Kokiri. At the end Navi leaves Link and on the story of Majora’s Mask manga he mentions on searching for Navi being is one close companion through his journey.

I did not forget our dear friend Fi, I just found her to be objectively annoying. 😂 I can’t deny her importance as the Master Sword, though, of course.

Even if I can understand that one could find Fi annoying (me included at the start of the game). But the way how Fi was written, was imo a genius move. She was helpful - except of her notices if you had low battery or life - and the ending of Skyward Sword made her character almost better as Midna. That maybe only a me-thing but that's how it is for me.

@@thezapzapman Because Tatl actually has a personality and backstory and Navi does not. Navi is a souless AI that is annoying. All it says is HEY LISTEN! Heres some useless crappy information you already know. Tatl has dialogue with more personality. Tatl has a tragic relationship and back story/lore with skull kid and Tael. Navi is a wet mop. I think Navi is one the biggest misfires nintendo made with Ocarina. Instead of creating a stronger character like midna or king of red lions, we got one of the worst companions of all time with nothing interesting to say, nothing helpful yp say, no personality, and no soul
