This probably won't help but you've included several games that are not metroidvanias or only mv-adjacent: Dead Cells, Owlboy, Cavestory+, Curse of the Moon, Narita boy,

@@johanandersson8646 Thanks for sharing. I’ve been falling in love with Metroidvania’s lately and I want to discover more but I’m not interested in MV-adjacent or MV-lite games. I want a true authentic MV to the bone.

I think you should watch it. I just added a lot more games that I never knew existed to my ever expanding wishlist. There seems to be no end to how many good games there are out right now. Great time to be an almost middle-aged gamer. The retro 🔥 is burning bright.
