Stonecoil Serpent is in my Opinion the best Creature/artifact in the whole set, maybe best in the format. Reach, trample, a really good protection in a format relying on multi coloured cards and expendable mana cost for no color restriction. Even if it has no other purpose to be a blocker for flyers, fairies are strooong, so here guys is the answer to all flying madness and a hard counter against let's say Hydroid krasis with guaranteed earlier drop option.

A lot of standard players and under valuing Witching Well. I've been using it in Bant and I think it's way better than Chemisters insight. It lets you scry in the early game so it fixes draws and isn't as bad as Chemisters against aggro because of that. Its a 1 Mana artifact that works with Oko if you don't have a Food. There are other uses too. Chemisters draws 1 total extra card but Well is better vs aggro and can easy weave into turns because of 1 Mana.

Hey Dev! Love the content as always, think you're sleeping with everyone else on Smitten Swordmaster. It's crazy how often you're looking for that little bitty dude on an Acclaimed Contender ETB. I think he's at least on par with Rimrock Knight/Shepard of the Flock. Keep up the great work!

I think that embercleave is better for knights than circle of loyalty. It finishes far easier, and often you're swinging with 4 creatures because of worthy knight.

Maybe it's crazy, but I think The Royal Scions has a place in Elementals. The second creature pump ability is relevant for pushing through damage in the midgame when elementals tends to struggle to do anything. In the late game if you're racing a Field of the Dead, Chandra's 0 ability will put an extra loyalty counter on your Royal Scions pushing them to their ultimate faster.

I’m loving order of midnight in testing - card is sick. Like I was playing against an Esper control deck with a wb knights midrange - order of midnight combined with Cavalier of Dusk and Midnight Reaper are the gospel truth xD the deck generates so many 2 for 1s, draws so many cards and gains so much life that it’s impossible to keep down in a world without big Teferi

Y’all sleeping on Brazen Borrower, 2 mana is the going rate for bouncing a creature, FOUR mana is the going rate for bouncing a creature and drawing a card (not losing advantage). This is 2 mana, draw a card, that card is GUARANTEED to be a Vendillion Clique body, and they can’t even take it with hand disruption. IMO, modern levels of powerful.

i`m playing mono blue and dimir flash , both with Gadwick, the guy's absolutely insane , he`s like a boss card. needs a correct deck tho , but i promise you , try him out and you will see ( you need a blue heavy low mana cost using spell deck. he is extremely underrated.

Just throwing it out there, Irencrag Pyromancer makes Mardu Feather kinda batshit - throw a bladebrand on her every turn to enable the draw (and recover it with Feather) and just gib any creature because of the deathtouch - pretty sweet. Curious to see what sort of equipment will get reprinted in the next sets, the only thing missing for Knights equipment-based deck to really take off is Loxodon Warhammer - if that ever comes back then holy shit.

I'm gonna rewatch this and the sleeper video but did you not mention the 2 drop black knight that for 1 adventures and drains for the number of knights you control? I think it's really slept on and is some serious reach in a deck like mono black or any knight based build in general.

The adventure mechanic just seems like pure card advantage to me considering many of the spell side of things already exist as single effect sorceress and instants I can see many of them becoming modern staples there’s no way stormfist crusader won’t see play in Rakdos burn.
