Giant opportunity can also read "return feasting troll king from your graveyard to the battlefield" if you want it to, and I think that's worth noting. Means you can get seven power even if you can't it with no foods out, plus that 7 power now has vigilance and trample.

@@fidly4 Fortifying Provisions was just spoiled. So I think that a Feasting Troll King deck in Abzan could work. I've worked out a potential play line that could get the troll out on turn 4 or maybe turn 3

I don't play a lot of constructed MTG, but I play limited whenever I have the extra money. Having said that, I like watching these spoilers because you give good coverage on the limited "chaff" that I need to look over before going to a pre-release or a Eldraine draft. Keep up the good work!

Drown in the Loch looks great in a Dimir mill control deck.

even with just a splash of mill from cards like enter the god eternals, that 2 mana 0/4 wall that mills for four... too bad it wont work with ashiok.

Mono green modern decks will be playing some number of rancor, so Yorvo seemed nice, but it works different actually. It reads "...Then if *that* creatures power is greater than Yorvos, put another +1/+1 counter."

Torbran, Yorvo and Linden look Standard Playable in the right decks. Torban in Mono Red (I fear Cavalcade Red for the foreseeable future) Yorvo looks like a monster if you just play it on curve, and Linden goes in either a Mono White Aggro shell or Pridemate Tribal. Pridemate Tribal is scary, but I think counters Cavalcade Red well, so It'll have its place in the format.

That dwarf, man. Calamity decks are going to be nastier, and, well, any deck that uses red critters and/or burn. Also, the Merchant goes nicely into Grixis or Jund Reanimator. A turn 1 instant speed discard outlet to drop a fatty is really nice, and replacing itself of course is great. And hell, having an onboard rummage creature is good too. I will have to try it out.

Fires of Invention can certainly be in three colour decks! I've made a Temur list with it and it's sooo strong. T4 this and a free Drawn from Dreams is ridiculous, leading to a T5 Biogenic Ooze and Skarrgan Hellkite - with enough mana to make an extra Ooze token before the end step trigger. Plain old silly.

Yorvo + Animation Module in EDH is basically pay 1 to create a servo and put 2 counters on Yorvo. That seems... good. Been wanting to build a Ghave deck so maybe this makes it in...

Yorvo only triggers from green creatures coming into play, so you'll need to add Painter's Servant to the combo. Also Dev's translation isn't accurate. Yorvo only gets the second counter if the green creature that comes into play is bigger than Yorvo.

I'm thinking out-there stuff like Rakdos self-discard, Mono-Red Control, etc. There are some really fun things you can do with this card that might actually be good. (Also, people are going to run main deck enchantment hate i n the new Standard meta. Cavalcade is going to be the single most played deck in the format, most likely.)

Yes it would affect each instance because it triggers for each attacking 1/x not as a grouping so it's going to be stupid to see hit the table then get hit with calamity and four to the face just from a shock

@@jameyfarmer5294 ​That’s what I thought. In fact, as someone who primarily plays a Cavalcade of Calamity + Chandra’s Spitfire deck, I knew this. I just thought it was somehow way too insane to be true. Cavalcade is going to deal 3 damage for each 1/1 attacking. Imagine this with Spitfire. A single Chandra’s Spitfire will, with a Torbran and a Calamity on the battlefield, deal *nine* damage. A few more 1/1s on the battlefield, and you’ve instantly won the game. No need to even hit your opponents with any of the creatures themselves. I can’t wait to play with this! This is going to make a fine addition to my collection.

Pretty sure Fires of Invention is not as good as Experimental frenzy because itself doesn't provide card advantage, which is at a premium in red. ofc you can pair it up with other red card advantage cards, but I guess it's more of a sideboard plan.
