Ranking Katakuri as low as you did simply means you don’t understand One Piece. I agree he’s probably the weakest First Commander we’ve seen so far except Shiryu (unless he unlocks advanced Armament and Conqueror’s) but he can still take all second and third commanders we’ve seen so far, Sanji is a bad matchup for him (speed to match Future Sight and fire to combat mochi) so I could see him losing that fight. Luffy only started getting consistent hits on him once he unlocked Future Sight and significantly sped up with Snakeman. Katakuri clears CP0 (except Lucci) and most Scabbards as well.

I disagree. Once Kaido one shot Luffy who was already on par with Katakuri, just show that lvl of power no longer matters. Whoever was fighting on that rooftop, that lvl of power far exceeds anything that Katakuri can do so when Luffy is struggling against Ulti then it’s hurting Katakuri position which is why he isn’t all that in comparison to other fighters. Unless Kat get a Rob Lucci wank as well then he’s like 40 plus characters behind.

I’m not sure how Kaido plays into this, I’m sure he’d one shot all the commanders and Tobbi Roppo with a point-blank Thunder Bagua except maybe King and Zoro. Was Luffy really struggling against Ulti? Like he was struggling against Katakuri, Cracker or even Doflamingo? Luffy could easily take care of Ulti and all the other Tobbi Roppo in Gear 4, something that can’t be said for people like Katakuri or Cracker. Ulti gets badly scaled by people with poor reading comprehension. She’s extremely durable and has decent physical stats but she’s solidly at the Tobbi Roppo or Yonko Officer level. It’s like saying Luffy struggled with Blueno because he had some difficulty in base but the second he hit Gear 2 it was over. Lastly, just like Crocodile, Kaku, and Lucci… the next time we see Katakuri or Doflamingo they will certainly be a lot stronger than when they lost.

@@wrenchdodger The reason Kaido plays a role is because at that point, it’s understandable that the Version of Luffy that appear on the Rooftop is now way stronger than the Act 1 counterpart. Meaning when we see Luffy struggling against Ulti trying to get to the rooftop, that means she by default would be stronger than Katakuri. And yes, Luffy was struggling. He first stated he underestimate her and later on noted that “She’s too powerful” and needed Gear 4 to get out. This is all After saying he’s no longer underestimating her so yes a Stronger Luffy is struggling with Ulti would be default make her stronger. Again the power cliff after Act 1 completely destroy Katakuri in WCI. That’s why he’s so low unless he get that Crocodile/ Rob Lucci wank.

The only character that I have a problem with in this ranking is Akainu having him over Shanks, and Mihawk is just crazy and saying that Akainu got stronger during the time Skip like every other character in the series, like Shanks and Mihawk, a man that couldn’t even stop Kuma, and putting him above a man who was able to speed blitz and One Shot Kid is just crazy. I would put him right above Kuzan, but that’s really it.

Despite saying to BB’s crew that he gave him scares as well, so it’s implied to be an extreme diff fight. Also, the idea that Shanks speed blitzed and blocked Akainu is just thrown off as "well, he got stronger since then,” as if Shanks and Mihawk didn’t get stronger during the Time Skip; they’re not Garp, who is past his prime and gets weaker with age.

2:00 Considering Luffy decided to take it seriously and use Gear 2 to fight them. I would argue she was offguard. A better example of Ulti’s speed is that she was fast enough to dodge attacks’ from Zeus, in which case we seen in WCI those attacks can actually tag Big Mom. BS. Katakuri could dodge some of Snakeman's fastest blows ("Black Mamba"). Base Luffy is significantly slower than Snakeman. His few days training in Udon didn't make him faster than a whole G4 transformation. Plus Luffy never used adv haki against Ulti. That was base Luffy without ryuo, she fought. A version of Luffy Kat would absolutely bully.

All they displayed was ancient zoan durability and endurance, yet everyone seems to think they were far above thr Sweet Pirates, who had annoying paramecia abilities, and strong haki to back it up. Kaido one-shotting Luffy got people completely confused. Here's a thing to consider : which Beast Pirate do you think Kaido couldn't one-shot with an ACoC Thunder Bagua landing clean in their face, like he did to Luffy ? I stopped listening at Katakuri... Absolutely terrible take. Kat is YC1, and has displayed better haki than any Beast Pirate, except for Kaido. Kaido one-shotting Luffy got you people terribly confused. It got y'all thinking Luffy was particularly weak. When the truth is...Kaido can one-shot anyone in his crew the same way, save maybe for King, who has Lunarian durability. Ulti fought base Luffy not using advanced haki. Only with ryuo can Luffy do more damage than he could previously with G4, because of dura neg. If you think that without it, he is stronger in base than a whole G4 transformation, well... Idk what tot ell you. The version Ulti fought would be packed by any G4 transformation, even Dressrosa G4. Without ryuo, base Luffy is not even the same ballpark as any G4 transformation. Katakuri would bully all of the Tobi Roppo. This is why YT power scalers think Oda's power scaling doesn't make sense. Y'all think Luffy got significantly times stronger in any other way than through improving his haki.

Blackbeard (final pirate oponent for Luffy. He definitely has ACoC or a 3rd fruit or both) 2. Mihawk (above Shanks, because they are both swordsmen. If Shanks>Mihawk, the Zoros goal is false.) 3. Shanks 4. Dragon (I think his final fight will be vs Akainu and he wins, because of plot.) 5. Fleet Admiral Akainu 6. Luffy (current) 7. Kaido 8. Aokiji (or hyphotetical Big Mom with active ACoC use, which moves Aokiji to 9.) 9. Old Garp 10. Old Sengoku (Mythical God fruit, probably ACoC, always portrayal below Garp and not as in good of shape.) 11./12. Saturn(or just Gorosei individually)/Garling (switchable with Saturn) 13. Kizaru (The Admirals are probably above Gorosei. So just for now) 14. Fujitora 15. Greenbull 16. Big Mom (Wano) 17. Beckmann (can probably take down an Admiral based on databooks, but need to see more in-manga portryal) 18. Old Rayleigh 19. Yamato 20. Shyruu (future Zoro opponent, so he is at least here) 21. Zoro 22. Law 23. Kid 24. Sabo 25. King 26. Sanji 27. Marco 28. Katakuri (I think the anti-Katakuri agenda has many flaws, although I agree that he did get powecliffed to some degree in Wano. Crocodile (final saga) Honorable mentions: Lucky Roo, Yasopp, Awakened Rob Lucci, Hybrid Queen, Killer, Jinbei(water source), Weevil, Kuma, Ace, Jozu, Vista. The HM aren't really in order. Prime old gen would be at the top Rocks, WB, Roger, Garp, Shiki, Sengoku. Oden above Big Mom with ACoC, prime Rayleigh above Oden.
