Just watched top 10 video I chanced upon and have immediately installed the app to enjoy great podcast with knowledgeable guests and fun atmosphere. I'm 51 and have supported the Hoops for 45 years after my 1st game in the South Africa Road Stand. Love the team and know we will be back as top team in London 😊

@@PhilipSleet Thanks Philip, we did these a few years ago when we were still learning the ropes so glad you enjoyed them! You may have to wait another 45 years for QPR to be top team in London again though 😅

What about Mick Leach? He was around for all those great days and before, and you can see to this day some of the brilliant goals he scored on KZbin. I was there when he sealed our victory against Liverpool in 1975.

He came 77th. All the great names were included in the voting but any vote is incredibly subjective. No 2 people would have the same list. Our ranking system took an average and is as fair as we could make it. As the years go by inevitably the legacy of some real greats get's forgotten somewhat.

Paul Parker wasn't a right back for us......he played nearly all his games at centre back, often as a sweeper and he was absolutely superb. As far as consistency and ability in his position are concerned he'd be number 1 for me...... absolutely loved him!

There is no doubting his enduring popularity when he's still coming out at Number 9. Rarely does anybody who saw him play not absolutely love him!

Amazing names and they were included in the votes back when we did this but as generations pass by sadly they will inevitably get less votes. Their contribution to QPR will never be forgotten though.

I didn't think k that I would comment on this list because we all have different opinions, but I've paused in the middle of #8 my hero Dave Thomas to say - HOW CAN PAUL GODDARD NOT BE IN THE TOP 20, LET ALONE NOT BE HERE AT ALL? He was part of the second best partnership (with Clive Allen) in QPR history after Mr Stan Bowles and Don Givens!
@hoopsanddreamsQPR2 жыл бұрын
It just comes down to the generations I guess. He's not going to be a name familiar with a lot of QPR fans who only started to follow us after that era. Other names from that era then get the votes ahead of him.

DT is probably the best (two footed) player I’ve witness in hoops. Socks down, no shin pads, just ran all 90 minutes on either wing. A loss when he went to Everton.

Gerry Francis was the best England captain since Bobby Moore and would have gone on to greatness if it wasn't for injury.

Clive Allen sold to Arsenal and then transferred to Crystal Palace without playing a game!

Clive Allen was a great Striker - does annoy me they always say ex. Spurs ST. Parker - everyone knows him via WC. I loved watching Thomas. Taarabt should be lower. I think Rodney Marsh started the No.10 thing, for me. I remember Alan Mcdonald returning playing for Swindon, they got their GK sent off, he went in goal & never conceded!. Ferdinand should never be above Gerry Francis. Stan Bowles, like many, is my hero & I got to play & drink with him!. I also live in Hillingdon!.
@hoopsanddreamsQPR2 жыл бұрын
Ferdinand was just incredibly popular, actually ahead of Stan Bowles in Round 1 of our voting! Sometimes it is splitting hairs trying to decide between players but good fun. Glad you enjoyed the Top 50 as a whole and thanks for commenting on each video, it is much appreciated

I used to live in Hillingdon Borough too Football Fumb (West Drayton), supporting Yiewsley FC that then became the 'Borough' before their ground was sold from under them. That is why I was a late convert to QPR!

He is probably our best ever all round player, I'd agree. When will a QPR player ever be England captain again? Bur Bowles will always win a vote.
