Very good video, but I am sorry that I have to be a smartass: You made a mistake with the Willis Tower. It is 442 to the rooftop, but including the Antennas, it is over 500 meters tall. But you rendered it as being 442 to the top of the Antennas, which is wrong. Apart from that, amazing video!

Well, technically antennae do not count towards official building height, but spires do as long as they do not exceeded 50% of the building's height. This is from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. (Yes, it's an official organization.) The question as actually gotten so controversial, that they now use 3 methods of measuring building height. 1. Architectural Height, which includes spires, but not antennae as the latter are typically not part of the official structure. (The one I just mentioned earlier, and the one that I personally use.) 2. Height to tip, which includes both. (This one's fair IMHO. I typically 3. Highest occupied floor, which is pretty self-explanatory, but it measures up until the floor-level of the highest occupiable floor of the building. (I personally hate this one. It should be to the highest roof, not floor. If it's to the highest floor, then many tall 1 story buildings suddenly lose like all of their height.)

Не совсем понятно зачем мерить высоту по высоте шпиля ? Мерить логически надо по крышу последнего этажа, жилого или технического неважно, а палку на крышу можно ого-го какую приставить, это РЕАЛЬНОЙ высоты зданию не добавляет

Buildings that need to have a spire to surpass another building is cheap eg Petronas > Sears Tower, Merdeka > Shanghai Tower, One World Trade> Zun. The CTBUH should exclude spires if the other building has a higher habitable floor. Or just put spired buildings in a different category like towers ie they can’t be in the category of overall tallest building

Нагрузка на несущие конструкции рассчитывается только под стандартную мебель, рояли исключаются. На ночь электричество и давление в водопроводе выключается. Правда, с канализацией (днём) сложнее, т.к. людей там больше. А сколько времени надо, чтобы подняться на свой этаж? Наличие небоскрёбов - верный признак деловой активности. Обслуживание всего домика стоит от 1 до нескольких миллионов В ДЕНЬ! Хотя в США есть жилые небоскрёбы.

It's rather limit of price and efficiency. You can build higher, but remember that you also need to pump water to the top floors, and it simply takes time to get to the top of the building and later back down.

This list is incomplete... The CN Tower in Toronto Canada was made in 1975 and the height of it was 1,815 feet and remained the highest standing building until 2009.

It’s a freestanding structure not a building…all these buildings have inhabitable spaces from ground to top, the majority of the CN tower is elevator lol

Mistake with willis tower, the antennas are not counted the buildings roof should be shown at 442 not the tip of the antenna. Same with Burj Khalifa.

That measurement is a standard from the beginning. Empire States Building that stands the 1st and tallest building in the world for decades, is measured from the bottom to the top of its spire.

The Willis Tower (Sears Tower) in Chicago is illustrated wrong. The buildings height is correct but the TV towers on top are not inlcuded in this height. The building excluding the TV towers is 1430 ft. If you include the TV towers on top of the building then the height is probably 1630+ feet.

You got the height of the sears/willis tower wrong. The top floor is 1450 feet not the height of the antenna. The height of the antenna is 1728 feet.

#25 Willis Tower: the height of 442m is correct, but the drawing is not. The official height of the building is 442m to the roof. Counting the antenna, it reaches 527m. So the roof should be higher than #26 KK100, and the antenna should reach higher than #11 Taipei 101.

The image for the Willis/Sears tower is wrong. It is 1,451 feet to the roofline. This video shows the antenna tip at that height -- the antenna is actually 1,730 feet. This video sells the Willis tower short. It is much taller than depicted.

"Rise Tower" - Monterrey Mexico 🇲🇽 (475m.)(1558 ft.) Under construction - Inauguration 2026. It's gonna be in the top 15 - 20 and will be the tallest in Latin America. In Latin America region we also have the tallest one already with "Torre Obispado" (305m.) (1000 ft.) Monterrey Mexico 🇲🇽.

As usual, these so called list makers can't get it right. The Willis Tower in Chicago has a roof height of 1451 ft . IF you adD the antenna height tops out at 1729 ft. ...The World Council on Tall Buildings does not recognize antennas as part of the architectural elements of a building.. The Roof height of the Freedom Tower is 1368 ft and the "spire" is 412 feet...it looks like an antenna but the WCTB ruled that it was a significant architectural element .
