The rad trike would be only good for around town with those small diameter wheels. I have a ebike I made that has 29" wheels and uses a 1000w motor and 52v battery and I get between 30 & 60kms using mostly pedal assist and some throttle and this is riding some really steep hills. And i am 6" 4 and 117 kilograms so it is pretty good and using road tires increases the mileage thanks to less rolling resistance. I bought a Marin mountain bike and added the 1kW bafang motor myself. I'm currently building a custom trike that uses the frame of a mountain bike and the rear from a commercially available trike I bought but I was not happy with build quality. If anyone buys a trike I would highly recommend one with hydraulic disc brakes. They are far better than mechanical disc brakes and if you're no familiar with the adjusting of the mechanical ones the hydraulic versions you don't have to worry about adjustments, except if you buy high end versions, they as far as I'm aware have an adjustment feature but I'm not entirely sure. Also, I'd go for a 52volt battery and 4 amp charger if you can afford it. The 52v gives your more punch and more miles especially if you get the 21amp hour version from Samsung. Steer clear oof cheap lipo batteries. The cells in them are mostly cheap Chinese or Taiwanese cells and they are rubbish. Buying the best parts for a bike or trike will save you money in the long run. I've had my ebike now for exactly 1 year today and I've done almost 10,000 kilometers and I average between 150-200kms easily in a week. So putting on the miles is relatively easy. Since then I've replaced one speech controller which stopped the mor working after about 5,500 kilometres, not sure what happened to it but the bike just stopped. They only other parts I've replaced have been brake pads. You need to make sure you buy ebike rated brake pads so your brakes are working at their best and you are getting the shopping power required. If you ride an ebike tyres also will wear faster than normal especially if like me you ride in and off road a lot and you do stretches on flat road at 50kmph or more. I highly recommend maxxis tyres especially their onroad treads. Also, if you're like me and you will be doing long rides, especially on a trike, I would recommend a makita 18v air compressor. I have one with a 5amp battery and it fits in my back pack easily. And if you have a trike with a basket, even better. Saves you pumping your tyres up by hand. Hope my tips help 👍😎

So many anemic e-bikes. I have a RAM Mia 1200 watt elecxtric scooter. It does 35 MPH, but there is a locked out 4th stage that will give 45 MPH. Plus runs 60 volts on a 40 AH battery. Cost here in Costa Rica was $1600 with a 3 year warranty.
