Thanks for your videos. A comment on mistake 2: look at the jumps you do in your video, especially at 7:42, you never go so far back, at best you recenter from the attack position. To the contrary, most often you want to weigh on the front to angle the nose down to follow the landing slope. As you said, your body must be dynamic in the air to adjust the bike's attitude. Also the pros often go on a jump accelerating and need to compensate with their weight forward. That would be an interesting tutorial if you can.

@@NiklasRuud really ? Man congrats. I’m just starting at 32 years old. I can’t wait to just be able to control the bike with as much ease as a bicycle. It’s so much harder. How long did it take you ? Any tips ? I go three days a month and ride a 250wrf

@@NiklasRuud i know I won’t be able to do big jumps any time soon. But I wish I was simply able to be comfortable on the bike and ride properly without thinking about what I doing or should do (rear brake, front brake, gearing, body position etc). Am still very confused and not comfortable or in perfect control you see what I mean ? How long until this changes ? 😅🙏

@@lpb3731 took me about 6 month before take on big jumps. I still work on gearing and faster cornering but going better now.

I liked your tip on not being a statue. No one is teaching that on these jumping videos. Thank you!

You will notice that all advanced riders and pros give the very same advice when it comes to jumping. That tells you just how incredibly important it is that you strictly follow these common practices when it comes to making successful jumps.

Should I be lifting up on the handle bars when jumping and should I be bouncing the suspension off the face of the jump ?
@MotocrossAdvice Жыл бұрын
Really depends on the jump. 1. Lifting off the handlebars wouldnt give you much effect, especially if you are not controlling your bike 100% - much more important to stay balanced on the bike and worry about the right body movement 2. Seat bounce or suspension bounce works well in specific jumps where you need more air. When scrubing for example, you do not want to bounce suspension as it would throw you into the air. If you are just starting to gain the feel of the bike when jumping, I wouldnt focus on any of these, just make sure you have your body movement and throttle control covered as instructed in the video
