As a long time Nirvana fan/geek/whatever, this was clearly compiled with care. The kid doing Drain You was particularly surprising. All of them were worthy. And the false cut to the American Idol-esque reality show for number 1 was a nice touch. I'd seen it before and almost groaned before I had time to realize it was a joke. Bravo.

I liked Serve the Servants. Apart from Kurt just wanting to continue as a Lead Guitarist, he was glad for Pat Smear joining Nirvana. He wanted that 2nd guitar on stage. With studio work, you can have all the over dubbing you want & all those extra tracks laid but the stage is different. You want the sound of your band to be full. I'm glad to hear bands like this out there. It keeps rock going & pushes rap & electronic music off to the side, where it belongs.

Drain you seems the best. but.... being the videos are somewhat poor, its hard to tell. The drummer is off, the voice is what got me- listening without video. But the fact that its a kids party helps forgive all sins. Come on, you know mom and dad let their weird kid do this cuz they wanted to be supportive and then were horrified and embarrassed. As a teenager in the early/mid 90s, this resonated with me completely. That feeling... other 90s alternative kids will get it.

I think replicating Nirvanas sound/ grunge in general should be a modern genre. Kurt's vocal cadence & rasp is doable. We need all originals though. Someone needs to really put their heart & soul into it & respect the genre. If someone released a record with real heart. I would respect it. Just really needs to be natural..that's what made this genre push forward like it did. Also it could be multiple bands that do it, but their song writer will really need to be something special to build off into their own world, that at the same time reflects the originals of the genre.
