I had been looking for a best wallet that can fit in an AirTag and looks great. I just gave up, it’s better to use some other trackers instead of AirTag that is slim as a card so you are free to choose any wallet you want.

I wouldn’t suggest the Ekster. I’ve bought 3 in 2 years and all 3 have failed at the push button after normal use. They should definitely think about making the button metal. Good luck.

I like my airtag but I also have Tile trackers. The Tile Wallet card is the answer for wallets and when Apple bring an AirWalletTag to market I'll fully swap over. Sadly none of those wallets are attractive.

You have inserted the AirTag upside down at 12:46. If you insert it the other way you can swap the battery by only removing the whole mount from the Ridge, because then you are able to open the AirTag without removing it from the mount. btw. all those wallets are so thick with an AirTag, have you seen the "AirTag card" by Chipolo? I think it's a much better solution for slim wallets. Also there is coming a rechargeable card from another brand (I can't remember the brand right now).

The reason the metal side needs to be facing outwards is because that's the "speaker". The airtag will be less loud if facing the other direction.

Not really. It’s more for being able to easily access the battery without having to remove the AirTag entirely, and because that’s the side with the apple logo and some people like to be able to see the logo / shiny metal for aesthetics

@@jicalzad yes they have all the features of the AirTag except precision tracking. Works with find my. Unfortunately chipolo is the only release. Doesn’t have replaceable batteries but last two years and chipolo gives a discount for replacement. Rolling square version has replacement batteries but delayed while waiting for approval from Apple. Rumor has it that Amazon is prepping their tracker as well that works off their sidewalk and Alexa programs. There show is this week so we’ll see.

I use a Tile card tracker, which is two cards thick but it fits easily into most minimalist wallets and all my leather and velcro wallets. No need for monstrous carbuncles.

Tile is terrible… 1. It doesn’t track unless you keep the app open 24/7, often times I open the app and the last ping is from days even weeks ago. 2. You must be within 50 ft to track it/play noise. 3. The batteries die after like 6 months and there’s no type of indication, you won’t know until you use the app and realize the tile is offline…. the Apple tags can be tracked from ANYWHERE so long as someone with an Apple device is near the tag (there always will be in this day and age)

Option could be to craft a round of gaffer tape or something to place on the top of the silver portion. It won't affect the antenna and it won 't scream here I am.

It scratches up embossed cards and you need to sort thru your cards when making transactions. It’s not worth the money. If you’re just gonna fanboy a popular wallet there is no convincing you.

Airtag no, it is a one trick pony! iPhone can ring the Airtag, however the Airtag cannot ring a misplaced iPhone. My choice is the Tile Slim, phone rings the Slim, and very importantly pressing the Slim's button will ring the phone. Tile Slim is about 2.5mm thin, about two credit cards thin, the outside dimensions are also of a credit card thus it easily fits in any wallet without bulk. Slim is platform agnostic thus works with Android and iOS.
