I like what you said about being stuck in the Apple ecosystem. I have personally had that issue myself and I want to get out, which is why I watched this video. I've been browsing phones recently and in terms of getting the biggest bang for your buck, I think I may get the Oneplus 6t. Thank you and finally the next stepping up against the Pixel 3! I've been ranting here and there about my horrible experiences with the pixel 3 and most snowflakes weren't able to handle it.. If it works for you then absolutely all the power to you, but the price increase and therefor what you get for it is hugely disappointing.. All other you've mentioned are pretty much spot on! @@clintcurtis9630 This is just my experiences... Prior to purchasing the Pixel 3 XL I went from the iPhone 6s to the XS Max.. I need an additional phone for travel and instead of using the old 6S I've decided to try Android. First out of the box it feels great the Pixel 3 XL it's light and the frosted back is actually an nice addition at first. After turning it on, the very first thing that is out there is the notch, now the XS Max has an notch too but this one is in comparison really in the way, although I've set my peace with the notch during the 10 days I had the thing it was always there being slightly annoying. Second thing is the chin... and instantly I felt not amazed by the design but rather annoyed.. I find the decision to accomodate stereo speakers for the price of an chin too much, and rather you see many other manufactures towards the end of 2018 going full bezel less rather than going back 3 years in design. But that is all very subjective. Then I've figured that if you hold the XS Max next to the Pixel 3 XL the display of the pixel isn't as vibrant also it lacks in brightness, living in Australia where the sun is always out and you sent most of the time outside rather than inside, a lack of brightness isn't really helping. Also it has the blue hue something that is common in OLED displays... So in terms of hardware and how I feel about it isn't promising. Then the UI, Gestures isn't even close to IOS, and I shouldn't compare but knowing how it can work this is a bit disappointing... The microphone then, I don't like to make phone calls but the ones I do make are very important for my business, and this is the first very big problem, is the just plain awful microphone, some say they will update the software for it in the update in December... but then I was thinking..I paid $1349 Aussie dollars for it, and how on earth is the microphone on an phone bad?! They should just stick in an better component mic in it that is possibly more expensive but just works fine... You can't cut corners on the fundamental functions of an phone. Then there was the ram management... It's all smooth but when I run an native app such as chrome or maps combined with Spotify, it crashed every time.. I got pulled over by the cops after maps chrashed and need to know where to go and the cops noticed I was driving a bit weird... and that is every single day I have either maps running or chrome and Spotify is playing.. how are native apps just crashing, if it was 3rd party app I could understand, but this is google's very own OS clean, stock android no bloatware and this happens?! Unacceptable.. Screenshots takes seconds to save as well as photos... Battery then... 5 hours on screen time was very hard to achieve, also because the brightness of the screen is 100% most of the day. Later I found out the data usage was quite substantial...although I haven't been doing noticeably different use of the phone. So it has been downloading tons of data I didn't ask for, or it has been uploading my data continuously.... goddamn Google! Wireless charging is painfully slow... I have an belkin wireless charger and it charge the XS Max just fine but the Pixel 3 XL very very slow. Later I learned that fast wireless charging is enabled for the google pixel stand. And I thought Apple was playing dirty... well turns out Google knows the game all too well. I can keep going but that would be mostly software and my lack of understanding android. I want an phone out of the box that is stunning to behold and every time I hold the phone I can see it why it is so expensive. And I don't have that instead I felt I've paid too much for the product Google gave me, it certainly doesn't feel like its worth the price... Having said that the XS Max was much more expensive but feels solid... I'll be using the XS max definitely for the next 3 years or more. SO I returned it and got the OnePlus 6T

Clint Curtis well it's really refreshing to use the 6T... If this is android it does make sense and i really like the customization.. The phone out of the box is just an joy to behold and that fingerprint scanner is just supercool.. As for no waterproof rating, I don't really care as I'm not going to swim or take an shower with it.. and oxygen os does make a whole lot more sense so if this is bloatware.. Bring it on... In wish there was a way to fully integrate the 6T into my Apple ecosystem... But I'm afraid that's never going to happen... And the for the price I'm smiling all the way every time I use it... And I guess that's what's it all about. And having 6 GB it makes everything just a bit more smooth, and it just leave me thinking why can't Google do the same? Anyway I'm super happy with both phones... I'm good now for at least the next 3 years.

After using Windows Phones for years, I switched to the One Plus 6T. I detest both Android and Apple OS, but with my Alcatel Idol 4S being the last decent Windows product that we're likely to get, Android was the lesser of two evils. I actually love the Android Pie with Oxygen OS because of the 6T's rapid response---It's almost as easy to use as my Windows 10 was. The camera may not be the best out there, but it suits my needs. I don't need a headphone jack and the built-in storage should last me years, since my previous 64 GB SD card lasted me over 4 years and still had a lot of space on it....

You missed the LG phones. Their DACs mean that they have no competition in terms of audio quality over headphones. I personally love the cameras - the wide angle is quality and the low light mode is nothing short of amazing IMHO. Other than this, their specs are nothing to write home about but tick all the "flagship" boxes.

Okay. I can't remember if this correct or not BUT I believe the "downside" of the Mix Mix 3 (in ASBYT's case Beautifying photos) isn't really a downside. You have to take into consideration that he has bought the CHINESE ROM EDITION, hence the features in it are targeted to the Asian market. If I am correct, I believe in the GLOBAL ROM VERSION the beauty mode within the camera can be disabled COMPLETELY unlike the Chinese ROM. Just know that if you do buy this phone, most will be Chinese ROM version with a flashed Global ROM. Official global variant for Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is available in Hong Kong via Xiaomi's Hong Kong Website. Global variant comes only with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage though, not like the selection Xiaomi offers to China with 8GB and 10GB RAM variants with 256GB Storage. Also be sure to note if you want a global version, make sure the box in the front has "MI" branded in a shiny logo on the middle of the box, whereas Chinese Version says "MIX" , just like ASBYT's one (check his unboxing for the phone). Other than that little hiccup, the phone is solid as ASBYT says.

Try downloading the Pixel 3 camera apk. You can find it on XDA. I have an Axon 7 and it turned a mediocre camera into a ridiculously well performing camera. Especially since I flashed Android 9 to get the camera2 API.

Though it hasn't been released either in China or globally, I think that one of the best, premium, affordable phones going all the way through the year of 2019, will be the Honor V20, imo beating out the Oneplus 6T in terms of price, power and camera. You could also consider the Huawei Nova 4 to be a serious competitor, to the Oneplus 6T, which has been released to China, just not worldwide.

Yeah same here, S7 Edge since 2016 and it's still going strong with no slow downs, no heat issue, no crash or any crap Am waiting S10, but am not sure if am gonna pay $900 for it, I'll wait like 3-4 months after release and it will be like $700 or even less

Thanks for the 18:9 aspect ratio 👌🤙🤝 The 6T is still just about my favourite device of 2018, but it's a shame about the pointless fingerprint sensor and the extra bulk it's gained from the 5T though. The only 2 things stopping me upgrading from the 5T. The Pixel 3 XL is by far the biggest disappointment of 2018, possibly the most disappointing device ever released actually, you hit the nail bang on the head, what the hell were they thinking?!

I love the fingerprint but I hardly use it since my facial recognition doesn't even give me the chance too. This phone is amazing and camera, I def prefer the pixel but the 4k 60fps is AMAZING. That notch though? I went to Best buy and compared. The notch is HORRIBLE, and I'm a pixel fan boy. I loveeee the 6t notch. And the screen. It's amazing

@@drutalero2962 you kinda proved my point here that it's pointless and useless in the screen and way more useful on the rear of the device, for many reasons. It's still a great device though, just not an upgrade from the 5T IMO, yes the camera is better but with a bit of tinkering so is the 5T camera. Crying shame about the Pixel 3 XL, I'm a Pixel fanboy too, I had the Pixel 1 and 2 before the 5T and I was sure I would get either the 6T or the 3 XL this year but I'm sticking with the 5T until these manufacturers get their act together, notches and gimmicks have ruined a lot of potentially good devices this year.

Right now I am thinking of something like the Pocophone F1 which seems perfect except for the lack of wireless charging which I could get around, but the lack of water proofing is a bigger deal for me. Please talk about making phone calls, best sound, connectivity without cutting off etc. It´s not only a camera/game player. It´s a PHONE! Can you recommend any tests in that area regarding Oneplus 7 , 7 Pro, Huawei P20, p30 pro (I have Mate 10 pro, with a camera that is better than the One Plus 7 Pro but not as good as my boyfriends One Plus 5). Samsung S10e shut down all the time. I want to watch KZbin videos on my phone (I do it a lot) but primarily I need to be able to phone others. The Mate 10 Pro is good but after a nasty drop, the mic is malfunctioning every now and then.
