3:04 looks like moss agate out of central Arizona. The conglomerate is wild looking! That's packed together. Looks like it has both basalt and rhyolite as host rock based on the black and red matrix, but I don't think that's the way it works geologically.🤔🙂😄 The last one looks almost like brecciated agate. Coolstrange, my new made up word for minerals like this. Great video GBP.

Definitely! I was surprised at the moss agate, pleasantly of course. I know what you mean, with some of these they look like combinations i’m not sure should happen 🧐 I like coolstrange, haha, i probably prefer interesting to only pretty in terms of the rocks :) thank you!

The 1st rock was gorgeous! Glad you cut it lengthwise 😊 2nd rock I like the rough exterior,I collected some like that, was drawn to the unique rough patterns & kinda lavish looking but not lava lol. Mine also are Lahontan Jasper, I especially like the dark chocolate to almost black rough exteriors. Can't get over the 2nd rock with the moss agate look. Beautiful & just all the colors on that one. What do you use to cut your rocks? Do you have a full blown lapidary shop? Curious looking for something affordable lol. Will be getting my flex shaft /motor/foot peddle rotary tool (like a foredom but cheaper) in today from Amazon. Excited to try my hand at polishing& shaping some of the rocks I collected. All your rocks are beautiful! Thanks for showing again.✌️😎🤗⛏️

thank you!! yeah, the moss agate was a nice surprise ! i just have a budget setup right now, i would love to get an actual lapidary saw at some point. currently i use a 7” Rigid table top tile saw, with a “turbo mesh” diamond blade.

@GreatBasinProspecting yea I'm pretty budgeted also lol. My 1st rotary tool w/ flex shaft I've had for years & it's a off brand Dremel style. I do woodwork & also have loved & collected rocks for a long time & now trying to put the 2 together like making stands & such for various rocks. My roomie is a big rock hound & lol I mean Big ( rocks) the yard is full of certain circles of big boulders & rocks he's collected out in areas around where we live. I have been looking at wet tile saws, they are a lot more reasonably priced. Love your last short & yea think that's a fossil. I have a few slate like with fossil inclusions.

@ oh cool! yeah, the tile saw isn’t too bad price wise, and has been working well so far. lol, yeah, when i first started rockhounding i had to limit the size of what i brought home, otherwise i’d have something similar in the yard!! haha
