Yes we are first timers!. Haven't camped yet. Our 2024 17bh is currently in outside storage. We live in the Florida panhandle so no snow but rain and wind. Not covered up We are pulling with a 2024 santa fe calligraphy.. we still have a few things to purchase before we can camp

We will be getting a Jayco Jay Feather 29RL in about 2 weeks. It has the azdell siding. We're not picking it up until April because of the cold. We have a 2024 Silverado 3500. Way too much truck for the trailer we bought. But I love it. Lots of power for driving thru mountains.

Sounds like a great setup!

We cover our rig in the winter to protect the graphics from UV fading. Same thing goes for covering our tires except we do that all year long.

Aluminum vs Fiberglass: While the aluminum siding itself may be lighter, the stick & tin construction tends to be heavier overall vs a laminated “fiberglass” build. And watch for Plasti-bond… No wood inside at all. That’s gonna be the ticket soon.

Good info!👍

Toilet formaldehyde based chemicals used to be a big argument. It's been priced absurdly high making it no longer an issue. Before watching, I came up with my list to see if we match. Diesel vs gasoline, your truck preference category covers that. My list also has air pressure based on weighing your rig or do you just set it based on a recommendation. And then there is the black tank vs cassette vs composting toilet subject. I forgot about people getting all worked up about leaving the propane on. I'm thankful to usually remember to turn off the water pump and hot water heater.

It's always interesting to see what sparks debate in the RV community!

Luxury vs dispersed or the third option is for us: State Parks or COEs.
@Thecampingloop21 күн бұрын
We prefer the state parks. Hard to beat the price
@Darnabymom21 күн бұрын
For us THE third option: fully formed fiberglass is the way to go. Like Escape, Oliver, Casitas, Scamp, Bigfoot, etc. Not Azdel or any others with seams.

Another topic that causes fights is "Do you need to use RV specific Toilet Paper"? well for us it is well worth the expense. Maybe a buck a roll. For me that little extra money to possibly avoid mr sticking my hand up that drain tube is worth it.

The number one cause of RV fires is electrical. Including batteries that off gas hydrogen.(highly flammable and explosive) (10 seconds of research to verify) All the current propaganda surrounding propane is absurd. In use for over 60 years but now it’s an issue?
@johnlynch522120 күн бұрын
let them leave there lights on all night. That way thay attract all the bugs and we don't.
