Honorable Mentions ; 1. Maserati Gran Turismo ( tighten the screws properly in the engine so it doesn't blow up like most Maseratis are known) 2. Lotus Exige ( The Hennessy Venom GT was a stretched out and heavily tuned Lotus Elise. Give the Exige the same treatment with an LS engine with more power and it's gonna become a even lighter monster ) 3. Swart Four 2 ( The car is pretty Useless so strip the parts and luxuries and swap in a honda engine like the Ariel Atom did and give it a little more power and you have your self a 10 times more fun and better car/dune buggy than it's original form )

Hey, the Pontiac Aztek did have AWD. They did put that AWD into a Grand Prix with a v8, but gm never made it. Can also put a supercharged 3.8l in a grand am.

I'd like to mention the BMW i8. Personally not a fan of the 3-cylinder hybrid and fake noise. Remove the hybrid system, the fake noise speaker and plop in a stronger engine. Good performance gotta match good looks. I initially wanted to keep the hybrid and give it a V6 but the NSX Type S and 296 already do that. Maybe have it go full electric to match the futuristic vibe? I'm not a professional engineer, just throwing out ideas. And if I'm feeling ballsy, give it a Lamborghini V10 and call it the "LaMborghini". It won't fit? If everyone can plop a V12 into a Miata, who says you can't do the same with an i8?

It would be VERY hard to do that since there is not a lot of space, AND it is a carbon fiber chassis, so not easily changeable with some cutting and welding

I have been watching for four years now (14 years old now) and to this day I believe this channel is criminally underrated, everything from the impeccable editing to the humour and not to mention the amount of research that probably is needed to deliver such a well crafted video every single time. Also the way you explain everything makes it incredibly easy to watch and understand, regardless of the fact that you heavily rely on your opinions which many people may not agree with, your videos are extremely nice to watch. Your channel is a big part of me getting into cars, as a kid almost every other video was either too heavy with information for me to understand, or dumbed down to the point that it was general knowledge for any person even partially into automobiles. Your channel provided a perfect balance. 4 years later I am now heavily into the car culture, regularly attend car meets and have even made few engine mods to my mom's car, its pretty primitive stuff but I couldn't have done it without this channel. I really hope you get the fame you deserve.

I think the Volvo C70 should be mentioned here. It has basically no aftermarket stuff, however, its got a really good exhaust sound and its transmission is BEGGING to be swapped as the engine itself can get up to 500 horsepower STOCK, however the stock transmission can only handle about 300 horsepower. I believe Ford did this intentionally so it didn't compete with their mustang while they owned Volvo.

The Prowler is seriously underrated as of now. Back when I was a kid, my dad bought a bunch of 1:43 scale models from different manufacturers, and they had a couple of Prowler models; I loved its design at the time, and looking back now, it feels avant-garde for its time. Hopefully we get to see them making a comeback in games like Forza Horizon et al.

Being Aussie we missed out on a lot of these and as much I agree with with you on nearly all of these as much as I didn’t like the DeLorean ruining it with a bloody EV conversion is simply plain wrong. Think only way to do it justice would be to fix a lot of its part bin problems with decent drive train, suspension and redone space frame that keeps the panel fix right. As for the rest as much as people hated cars like the Aztek, Prowler and the Ferrari 308 I loved them and like everything else on this list know how, keeping it tasteful, and thinking out of the box will give you an absolutely awesome beast.

8:01 Didn’t a similar thing happen with JDM cars of the 90s? The main reason plenty of V8s of the malaise era were so slow was because of emissions regulations, remove most of it and you’ll end up with a night and day difference between power. Why hate one but praise the other?

The case with JDM cars was very different. It was a gentleman's agreement between manufacturers, and when power is limited they focused on handling and tech. The same didn't happen with the America cars

I'd personally say that the renesis engine sucks and that the 13b from the rx7 is a much better choice not just for power but reliability too but you gotta treat it right for that and well reliability aside, yes they do go through apex seals and use oil like nothing but that's the price you have to pay to be completely unique ig, and it should be a project car not your daily that'd be stupid to daily your project car lmao

Could you imagine the hell raiser you could make of a Prowler using the Cat 3 Hurricane I6? That thing would be able to hang with lower level Hellcats, Supras, M5's, and other performance cars. Heck, even throw in huge turbos, a fat helping of other performance mods, and only death, taxes, and your sense of self preservation are going to end the fun (and wrapping it around trees, of course)!

I agree, a rear mounted electric motor in a DeLorean DMC 12 (1981-1982) MAKES TOTAL SENSE. What did NOT make sense was John Z. DeLorean Barking Up The Wrong Tree like an old hound dog. (1) Mr. Pontiac, Front Engine, Big V-8 Muscle Car guy settling for a rear engine 2.85 L (174 cu in) SOHC Peugeot-Renault-Volvo (PRV) V6 engine in the DMC 12. (2) This 2 seat, gull wing PLAYBOOK had been tried before (1974-1975) with the Bricklin SV-1. ALTHOUGH, the Bricklin had Front Engine V-8, rear wheel drive. (3) John Z. SHOULD have accepted the Florida GM dealership upon his retirement instead of reinventing the wheel with Irish labor & massive British government investment.

10:47, no, the Pontiac Aztek needs more than what you are describing in this video, namely, it needs at least half of its parts redone, the tent option to be redone to become roomier, as well as to slide out from the vehicle itself, and its front needs to look like a proper SUV. Honestly, the Pontiac Aztek looks like it was a Geo Metro/Chevrolet Metro/Chevrolet Sprint/Suzuki Swift/Suzuki Cultus hatchback that had came into contact with Dig Dug's Air Pump and never deflated. I would make the hood be straight, rather than sloping down, I would make the front fenders look like proper SUV fenders, I would redo the front lights to look more like a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ, as well as give it the same kind of honeycomb texture that was on the Double Cab 4x4 variant of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ, and then make the back resemble more like the back of the current GM SUVs. The tail lights on this redone Pontiac Aztek would also resemble them as well. I would still give it a lift kit, but I would also make more manly wheel covers, like, something that resembled classic 1970s Hot Wheels wheel cover designs, or 1980s Matchbox wheel cover designs, then I would beef up the chassis, shocks, steering, brakes, suspension, handling, transmissions, and gears, and I would put in an LS9 engine swap under the hood...okay, maybe just an LSA engine swap...no, screw it, an LS9 swap, because that V6 that it had was an under powered mess.

50k is a mostly gross overstatement on rebuilds for the Rx8, and owners owned them specifically because of the noise, unique technology and power delivery. Everything about your rx8 section is gross, even if it's true that the Renesis was a mistake of an engine.
