I've had nothing but problems with that Yak power. I fish saltwater only and I'll admit I'll go out when it's rough so I'm constantly getting waves over the side. The seal on the Yak power controller got defeated and got water inside. The wiring stopped working also. On the plus side they warrantied it all also, just haven't taken the time to reinstall yet since I honestly don't need my lights or fish finder shark fishing.

I’ve recently purchased a Johnson Outdoors Old Town SPORTSMAN AUTOPILOT 120. I do like the wireless handheld remote. However, ideally I’d like to stand and cast continuously while navigating amongst the current and structure. So I was wondering if this electric motor is compatible with a foot pedal control? Being new to electric motors, any info or pointers would be great 🙏 Cheers Ryan Australia

Congrats! You’ll love it. I haven’t seen any foot pedal controls for navigating while standing. I usually just bop around with the controller while standing

Does the Crossbar put the fish finders too far forward? Like out of reach for pressing buttons/Harder to see-further away ? I'm about to mount 2 finders, a 9" & 10" Humminbird for 360 & Live, but can't decide if I want them both on right side/Stacked (Much closer to reach) or like at the crossbar location.

Does the Transducer mount you mentioned inhibit side imaging since the transducer is closer to the hull ?

Can I ask what kayak would you recommend for a first timer, that is a bigger guy my weight is 265-270 I’m 6’2”. I’m not looking to spend a a bunch of money just incase I don’t like fishing from the kayak or like being in the water. The lakes where I like always have big boats on them flying around. So I am not sure I I will like kayaking or not. I do see people in them in the water but I also see them get out of the water and soon as the big boats start moving around. So I am looking for something that I will be happy with for a few years and that will be fun to upgrade. Thanks for all the great dad jokes.

I'm a super noob, can someone explain why the transducer mounted below the kayak then also a 'livescope' transducer pole? Do they do different things? Is there an all in one transducer option?

Livescope is a directional live sonar that needs to be pointed and therefore needs to be on a pole that spins.

How long is your paddle? I’m 5’9 tall and also have the Old Town Sportsman PDL 120 (has Navarre seat riser). Trying to figure the right size length paddle for me.

So, I pulled from a couple of you videos to install my livescope. I used the Navarre handle for the ram mount, and then I used the Summit pole mount for the transducer. That sniper pole is Sweet, but a lil more than I'd like to spend right now. Lol I also grabbed that transducer mount as well. Salute to you for these videos bro. You’ve had the most informative videos I've come across on here, and it's helped me tremendously. Keep applying pressure out here with these videos bro. ✊🏿✊🏿
