Was in Sài gòn last November of 2022 , tried a few st food and some restaurants, maybe i went to the wrong places but most soups noodles made from broth that taste sugary and lots of msg . It’s fun to watch but my saliva is never engaged .

I love Vn food, but after living and working there for 25 year, plus seeing the constant cases of mass food poisoning, I m a bit concerned about food safety and food hygiene. Please be responsible in promoting street food if you are not sure about ingredient sourcing and food prep. With easy access of food additives and preservatives, toxic food is on the rise. Sadly to say, staff absenteeism due to foodborne illnesses is a frequent reality in Vietnam. First there is missing or too little food regulations in place;, then there are issues with implementation and compliance. Hope this will be worked out for Vietnam so more people are willing to try the Vietnamese culinary world.
