This is my ranking for singles or album tracks officially released in the year 1980 itself. Let me know how you'd rank them! Also i know i spelled Barbra (Streisand) wrong on this one. Cheers

Visage's "Fade to Grey" is definitely my personal fave. I was 11 at the time it got released, and it was my first single ever. Bought from pocket money. Still loving it today. And then, of course, AC/DC, Queen, Police and Blondie.

Fade to Grey had only just entered the UK Top 75 singles chart by Christmas 1980,and reached number 8 in February 1981. A girl at school,who dyed her hair from time to time different colours from dayglow pink to red to a blue period to blonde,lent me Viasge's album shortly afterwards,with the title tracks,Night Train,etc. on it as well as Fade to Grey.

Yeah a big song but not one that i have ever cared about that much, especially compared to many of his great ones. I will likely make this into a top 100 at some point so it will be in that. Thanks

Duran Duran didn't have their first UK hit single until March 1981,with Planet Earth.
