Most Borderlands players don't really "get" the concept of a safari rifle. A real one would have real ir0n sights (adjustable for windage and elevation) and you wouldn't use it with a scope because scopes inhibit peripheral vision which, in turn, inhibits situational awareness. I always liked Whitting's Elephant Gun in BL1, especially on playthru-2. Definitely a Mordy/Hammerlock style of weapon.

I think it's because its crit bonus starts to decrease with each critical shot, so reloading the weapon should restart in some way that bonus

The Elephant Gun in BL2 was a huge disappointment compared to the version in BL1. I remember really liking the BL1 version. I was pretty good at sniping with it, and it was rather powerful.

The scariest thing in hammerlocks big game hunt is the big skeleton on the mountain when you’re on the way to jackinstien I think. mainly because for there to be a skeleton of something it has to have been a living thing at some point, and with bl3 on the way it means they could have put the creature that skeleton belongs to In bl3........as an enemy.......for players to fight......and get killed by many times.

Faily Failracer because if he where to include the Shields from tina's dlc (antagonist and blockade) they would have ended n° 1 and 2 which doesn't look so great, in hammerlock and torgue dlc there almost nothing to farm for really, so he had to include Shields, by the way Twister should have been n°2 it is a really good weapon definitivly top 5 shotgun in game while the lead storm is not top 5 by any mean (top 10 at best)

DD107 yeah, Infection. But it has somewhat good synergy with Cloudkill corrosive Maya and is the best tool for stacking bloodlust with Krieg.

Bloodlust stack fast as long as your applying a) constant damage b) dot, so yeah the infection is good for it but so are all maliwan pistols or the flame of the firehawk or any fire weapon And cloudkill dont need infection to be good i'd recommend a fire or shock weapon combine with cloudkill if you want to melt them

DrQuagmire1 Kreig is dumb overpowered with a bloodsplosion/hellborn build while using an interfacer I ran through arid nexus badlands and got to Saturn with all my skills still proc-ed and killed him within seconds w/o hitting critical hits I did use all my ammo tho

yeah, that's the only drawback while using the Interfacer. although, you could offset that somewhat with a Stockpile Relic (or the Blood-of-the-Ancients) that boosts Shotgun max ammo

Hey man the infection isn't designed to be used on it's own, it's designed as a tag n swap gun (most likely to counteract the health regen of uvhm enemies) it's like witherhoard or anarchy from destiny 2, you swap to a better damage gun after tagging

To be fair, the Infection is good on Krieg, not damage-wise, but as a tool. Get an infection that's low level and it's a very good tool for stacking bloodlust

Yea even elephant gun's sight is bad compared to razorback from pre sequel which if you plyed COD World at War you can use it very well it's like the kar 98. And also Hyperius has a low chance of spawning Interfacer too, esier to kill too.

Yes, that is due to "Blood Trance". It increases your buzz axe duration for each bloodlust stack you have. So when you get into rampage with less than 100 stacks and slowly get up to 100 again, the duration will update while in buzz axe rampage.

The rough rider is just too niche. And it does even hurt certain characters like Gaige who benefit from having their shields up. The elephant gun may be somewhat hard to get used to but it doesn´t actively hurt you.

It's 12% which means random. You can hit yourself 4 times in a row and then you can melee 4 times and not hit yourself once. With that said, you should throw your axe more often as STV cannot proc on a throw.

Yeah the idea of throwing is smart but i want to actually go around slicing enemies instead of just pegging an axe at them plus my luck when i play the phsyco is always at its lowest so im likely to hit myself 4 times only to be able to dinally land one hit then the process repeats itself

I never had that problem and I have at least over 500+ hours on Krieg. The most hits in a row I had was 6 but that is incredibly rare. I mean, if you wanna play on OP0 then you can get away with not having STV. Just get a Salt class mod with +6 in Salt the Wound (or +5 if you prefer a purple one). For a shield you can either go with a Rough Rider or a Roid Shield (preferrably the Hide of Terramorphous) but I still recommend a Rough Rider for the extra survivability.

The Hawkeye hinestly sucks. With certain builds you will do more damage with a purple muckamuck, even on critical hits and it is just too much of a pain in the but to get.

Also, it´s basically mandatory for Seraph weapons to scale well as you can´t really get them before uvhm. A seraph weapon that doesn´t scale well is money.

And on top of that the Big Game hunt is basically the last place where you would want to snipe. Most enemies wear face masks that protect them from critical hits and are on top of that melee based, trying to hit someone in the bac of the head while he is attacking you in melee is rather difficult...

It's pronounced "GROT-oh" (often pronounced with a "soft" 't' by those of us west of the Atlantic which sounds like a 'd' to the English). 5:25 It needs a full set of ir0n sights. Actually, so does the Buffalo. The Buffalo only has a front sight but no rear sight, plus your line-of-sight lines up just above the front sight, so it's hard to sc0re longsh0ts. Also, these aren't technically "sniper" rifles since they have no scopes. They'd be more accurately defined as "safari rifles." Whitting's Elephant Gun from BL1 (which had plain basic ir0n sights that actually lined up well enough) should have been called "Whitting's Safari Rifle" since there are no elephants on Pandora. 5:42 Real-world safari rifles are typically used without scopes because scopes inhibit peripheral vision which, in turn, inhibits situational awareness. 6:02 Hip-fire accuracy is irrelevant with a bolt-action no-scope safari rifle. If you want to improve "fire rate" (which is more like improving dexterity with bolt-action and pump-action guns), then use the Infiltrator class mod. 6:19 "Aiming down sights" without sights is a weird concept, but BL2 doesn't really understand how ir0n sights work, seeing as how most of them don't line up right (or don't exist). BL1 had that issue too, but to a lesser degree, and TPS has it to a greater degree. BL3 seems to break that pattern, thankfully.
