I just got the kershaw filter today and I am diggin this knife. Like you said it is a beefy blade but solid build. I could probably drop this on concrete and crack the slab. Loving how it looks too. Good video my dude!

Good video. Just one correctional comment the Kershaw Filter is 4cr14 steel and keeps a sharp end for quite a while. The one I own I paid $15 for it at Walmart, and keeps a wicked sharp edge, and is tough as can be.

Rat 2 is the best knife I've ever owned plain and simple for edc. Wish I would have had it in the Navy.

the 8th knife is the Kershaw filter and it's the best edc knife I've ever had. I only mentioned the name of it because I noticed u didn't in the video. but In my opinion it is a strong and sharp edc blade. holds a great edge.

I like the assisted open, it's fun to operate, but what's funny/ironic is out of all these knives, the filter has the "lower end" of all the steels here. It's like 3cr14.

Being budget friendly myself, I enjoy your choice of great knives that won't break the bank. The Buck Nobleman looks like an awesome small folder. Thanks for introducing a small folder that I'll look into. The Esee SanDisk is the knife i carry the most. For me, this knife fits all my expectations. I also happen to own an Ontario Rat 2, it's also an excellent knife, and like its Randall bretheren, is one that I also carry, though not as much as the Zancudo. Sure, it's actually lighter than the Zancudo, but it doesn't have the smooth side that slides so easily into one's pocket as nd prevents pocket wear. What puzzles me is , why didn't the Rat 2 do away with the steel liners? S folder that small certainly doesn't need them - look, for example, at the Benchmade Bugout, or the much more friendly but equally excellent Is-Bar Dozier. These knives are best sellers because tg e y don't require the extra weight. Personally, I think Ontario would have sold twice as many of these babies had they not had those bulky and heavy liners.

Just picked up a CRKT m16, great lightweight knife for every day utility. Unlike other budget knives, it's both lightweight and doesn't feel cheap.

Hi, I just found your channel almost by accident. I am a knife collector that focuses on low cost high value knives myself, and my KZbin channel focuses on that type of knife. You have a very nice list of knives there, I have a few of them and the others are already on my list of knives that I need to check out. When I found of that there are Chinese knife factories that make the Made in China knives for many USA knife companies also make their own knives and at a VERY good quality and super low price I then started buying directly from those companies. I really like Sanrenmu which is the company that makes Spyderco's Chinese knives. Though the G704 by Ganzo ROCKS!! Also, did you know that Ganso now has two knives with real carbon fiber scales that fit right in this price range easily - the G741 and G739

Picked up the kershaw filter today at walmart for 15 bucks all the knifes i got this year at walmart i have the hot wire you can get for 10 i have the cryo goes for 40 i have the crkt edc m16 for 20 and the crkt s.p.e.w all good knives if you ask me

Nice vid. Are you sure about the Zytel with the Rat 2? Rat1 has G10 and i thought that would be the same with the Rat 2. The Rat and the Zancudo are ok, but the rest of the knives i do not like very much. Only the looks of the Kershaw i like very much but then that steel. That's so cheap. Why not do a decent steel and charge $10,,- more?

+Henk Hakvoort Yessir. Not sure where you saw it in G10, but the ontario website has it listed as Nylon 6 in both knives, and Zytel is just Resin infused nylon so... And I agree on the Kershaw, but i think the goal is to get you hooked at $20, then get you to spend $200 :/

Probably better to say knifes under $30, most locations instead of under $25 if you look hard enough. The Rat2 out of this lot is an excellent overall knife and a regular carry for me. Under $30 add the 2012 Best Buy knife of the year Kershaw Cyro, an upgrade from the Filter (last knife)

+Lance Chafin nice, I have looked several times at the Leek but just not into the blade shape.... current options considering a CKRT Squid, to me looks like a smaller Cryo Kershaw Showtime (really like looks) a fancy Cryo, same materials, similar design, different designer. and a good hawkbill blade knife.... Opinel Mushroom looks interesting but prefer a Dragonfly2 Hawkbill if Spyderco would release one. The Ladybug Hawkbill seems too small (less than 2") while the Talisman at almost 3" seems to big. need that 2.25 blade that the Dragonfly2 or 2" Cold Steel Mini Tuff has (maybe will reconsider the mini tuff)

If you want a great sturdy knife for under 10$ then buy a rough rider 1488. Very good knife and all steel construction with a frame lock.

Yeah, I was really interested in Rat or the Zancudo, but i'm a beginner knife collector/carrier. I purchased a Opinel no.7 for under 10 bucks, man it's sharp! I love it. But I still loved the video.

Lol. Gentlemen's knife. Case knives are gentleman's / Sunday go to meetin' knives young man. Maryland isn't really the south but it's better than anything north! Case is the gentleman's knife of the south. Also good to see a millennial interested in knives (hopefully guns also) and not playing video games or watching Harry Potter.

Case is not a gentleman's knife. Case does make three or four gentlemen's knive, but no knife made is more work knife than Case. They're made for work, hard work, and they do the job very, very well.
