I’m a little surprised we don’t see more smashing ground in warrior builds. It’s such a good 1-for-1 and gets rid of Sorc almost always because of its high def. Also takes care of walls like Spy. I get it that it’s situational but I think it’s a really cool tech to main 1

Smashing Groud has been a godsend for my aggro decks. I have zero clue why we don't see people packing 2.

So weird it's called Goat Format yet Scapegoat only appears as a random single of in the side deck here.

Ludi has a great deck. I always tried to play decks like that in every format I played up until 2017. When you play a lot of one-offs, it makes it impossible for your opponent to play around everything. It's definitely a playstyle choice but if your good at creating strong plays with any combination of cards then you should deckbuild like that. It makes your deck harder to play against and gives you alot of options. Not for beginners, but for a season player it can create an edge for sure. Sometimes if you're playing against competent opponents, you need to find a way to create an edge. Playing decks run/Max out the same cards that everyone plays around already makes it easier for them to play around your cards. Running one-offs makes consistency dependent on skill though. Good list IMO.

Ludi's playing some Cajun-styled Warriors!

Man I used to love goat but after playing so much edison goat just can't compare... I mean the format is just too solved, literally every deck in this top 8 is chaos turbo or warrior, and the lists are virtually the same for each. There's just very little room left for any innovation

Late Stage Goat Format?

Another problem is relatively small card pool with the most busted generic cards so more than half of cards in each deck are same cards.

Goat format has always been "solved". For multiple years everone was playing goat control. And it was okay. Diversity was never the selling point of the format. The selling point of the format is the skill required to play it correctly. Goat is like chess. Not a lot of pieces (=power cards) but the way you can play them is infinite. There's also skill in Edison but in goat the low number of deck to side against and the low number of cards to play around allow you to play almost perfectly. That's why it's the format where the gap between regular players and top players is the highest.
